Update: 28/12/2012 - We said goodbye to Compo today. I'm glad that I took this a few years ago.
Say hello to Compo, our border terrier. He's coming up to his twelfth birthday now, and apart from being curmudgeonly like any old man, he's still in tip-top form. The title of the photograph, if you hadn't already guessed, is his Kennel Club name. His 'pet' name is taken from the scruffy character in Last of the Summer Wine, a long-running UK sitcom set in the Yorkshire Dales. I dropped the ball a little bit on the lighting, I think. It could have been a lot better, but I liked his expression in this shot. Right, back to work now! :)
Most peole who really know me understand how big this is... im not one to try anything new...well I have a hard time trying things because if I dont like them then 1. Its a waist 2. Bye bye money and 3. Ill be hungry where is the fun in that?!?! So this week as I was making my list I made a choice that choice has made me more adventurous when planning what to cook(plus pintrest helped alot too). I have made something new for dinner everynight. I didnt document the other creative meals but tonight's was a big hit with the family. #tryingnewthings #cheeseburgerwraps #oreotruffels #pintrest #yolo #liveandlearn #sept2014 #white #whitechocolate #sprinkels #colorful #food #beefideas
MAN... Photoshop is NOT as user-friendly as Paint.net. This took 2 days and is my very first attempt at Photoshop. The grunge look is labor intensive, I have to say. Paint.net has built in light rays rendering, where for this Photoshop picture, I had to download a picture of a light ray. It's much easier to resize and rotate things in Paint.net too. I'm learning PS though, no matter what.
PS seems a lot less computer memory-sucking though, very niiiice ~ It's also a lot easier to cut things out in PS. My fave part, there are lots more ways to manipulate text.
This is Arlo's head[ my cat] on Adrian's body. I used a lot of the Burn tool for this one. Also used spatter brush. Added a few layers of different textures and patterns too.
Drove to Chicago to see Ghostland Observatory at The Metro - they made me coat check my camera, said it looked "professional". HAAAAAAAAAA.
I was bummed I hadn't brought my point and shoot - the laser show was phenomenal and the dude is so charismatic. Oh well, live and learn.
Walked down to a fav Italian restaurant and had a yummy late night meal before heading back to Madison.
