So I've never replaced a 365 project photo but I am now because this more accurately represents my day. Had a scary heart/breathing scare which landed my in the ER but getting rest this afternoon really helped. Hopefully sometime in the near future we'll get to the bottom of all these medical issues I've been having so that it can get fixed and I can be my 100% best self!

Really... I was told that taking pictures of birds is "gay"... "super-gay" actually. Really. I swear I am not kidding. (And I mean absolutely no offense to anyone.) I am only saying what I was told. And this was by a fellow photog!
Hmmm. I know shooting birds is the very hardest thing I have ever done with a camera. Learning to shoot birds made every other photography thing easy.
Really... I was told this about shooting birds... Super-Gay! Yeah. :/
Never mind birds are just absolutely amazing. They can fly the fuck out of here at will. Birds are very, very cool. Shooting birds is seriously cool. Its as rewarding as it is challenging. Just search my stream for "jay". You all remember my friend Jay? (Here's a little Jay series) He was my first RAW subject. I loved our sessions together. And how he would buzz my window if I missed a day, or a chance to shoot him. Yeah, birds rock! Shooting birds rocks!
Okay, kids, here's what not to do:
If you're doing a little street shooting and you've finished a roll while at the same time seeing a friend and stopping to talk to him/her, do not attempt to talk and change the roll. This is what happens.
So I saw a friend on the street when I finished a roll. So I figured I'd multi-task and change the roll while talking. No problem, right? Pfff. So there I am taking off the base-plate and boy was I surprised when I finally took it off completely! I forgot to rewind the film. In the process of talking to him, I totally forgot about rewinding. But even thought the pressure plate was never raised, it still ruined 98% of the roll. I was able to salvage this and one of Andy. I had some nice photos on this roll, too, which made me a bit sad. Ahh, oh well. I should've known better because I'm a pretty bad multi-tasker; I'm more of a focus-on-one-thing type of guy.
So may this serve as a reminder to you all! :-) Beware of friends and changing rolls.
It's hard to make a juicer look interesting, but maybe the story will at least make you smile...so here's the story.
Not exactly sure what I was thinking when I thought a juicer would be a nice gift for my dh birthday. I guess I thought it would be a great way for all of us to sneak those veggies into our diets, making our diets a bit healthier. Here's what I've found in just a couple of short days. Juicers are extremely noisy & messy. Bits of fruit and veggies come flying out of the shoot before you can get the stopper on, leaving splatters of pulp everywhere. The husband has now juiced just about everything in sight. Which brings me to my final point as I worry about how much weight we're going to gain trying to be healthy, as it's pretty tasty. Well except the kids won't touch it....how could I have been so wrong....
No Regrets
Years ago, before I met my wife. A bunch of us were at this bar near Seattle Center. Think I was feeling sorry for myself. Was talking about something I can’t recall. My friend Stacy suddenly looked up & shouted “No Regrets!”
Good, sound advice. Been living by it ever since.
