Buena Vista, CO - This is the Paul Benjaman Band. They were playing at The Lariat in Buena Vista. I had no idea this small Colorado town had such a great music scene.

Am meisten hat mich der Aloha Geist (Aloha Spirit) in meinem Innersten berührt.
Eine tiefe Sehnsucht, diesen Geist kennen zu lernen, ließ mich immer wieder vom „pazifischen Paradies“ träumen ~ ~ ~
Flickr ließ diesen Traum Gestalt annehmen ~ in Gestalt von Moanalani Ke`alohilani Roquette, kurz Moana (http://www.flickr.com/people/pa-i_ki-i/).
Moana ist für mich der Motivator geworden, der mich „Aloha“ erkennen ließ, weil sie selbst Aloha lebt!!! Vertiefe dich in ihr Profil und du erfährst sehr viel darüber, was Aloha bedeutet. Schaue die Bilder und Kunstwerke in ihrem Stream an und du wirst ergriffen vom Aloha Spirit! :-)
Dieser Geist lässt Moana auch eine tiefempfundene vorbehaltlose Liebe zu allen Menschen empfinden und wenn du von dieser Liebe ergriffen wirst, kann es sein, dass du den Tag zur Nacht werden lässt, weil Moana 12 Stunden von dir entfernt wohnt (wie in meinem Fall… :-)

Since I can read, I was faszinated by the stories from the Southern Pacific … Above all the Aloha Spirit has touched me deep at heart. A deep longing for to get to know this Spirit let me dream over and over again of the „Pacific paradise“ ~ ~ ~

Moana has become the Motivator for me who revealed "Aloha" to me, because she herself lives Aloha!!! Dive in her profile and you get to know a lot about what means Aloha. Look at the pictures and artworks in her stream and you will be deeply moved by the Aloha Spirit. :-)
This Spirit allows Moana also to feel a deep-felt unconditional love to all people and if you are moved by this love, maybe you make the night to day when Moana lives 12 hours afar from you (like it is the case with me …:-)

I was originally enrolled into the GETTY IMAGES collection as a contributor on April 9th 2012, and when links with FLICKR were terminated in March 2014, I was retained and fortunate enough to be signed up via a second contract, both of which have proved to be successful with sales of my photographs all over the world now handled exclusively by them.
On November 12th 2015 GETTY IMAGES unveiled plans for a new stills upload platform called ESP (Enterprise Submission Platform), to replace the existing 'Moment portal', and on November 13th I was invited to Beta test the new system prior to it being officially rolled out in December. ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably.
These days I take a far more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, and having moved from professional Nikon equipment to consumer bodies and lenses, I travel light less constraints and more emphasis on the pure capture of the beauty that I see, more akin to my original persuits and goals some five decades previously when starting out. I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to GETTY IMAGES, and the 22.893+ Million visitors to my FLICKR site.

This is my 103rd photograph to be selected, which for me is both amazing and exciting, as I never view my images as worthy compared to some of the awesome photography out there. EXPLORE is Flickr's way of showcasing the most interesting photos within a given point in time -- usually over a 24 hour period.
Flickr receives about 6,000 uploads every minute -- That's about 8.6 million photos a day! From this huge group of images, the Flickr Interestingness algorithm chooses only 500 images to showcase for each 24-hour period.
