Hopefully, nobody is having a sad week or indeed a little fed up but what do you do to brighten up those dark days!
Seen at an art gallery on the top floor of our national museum Te Papa. I have more network issues and the laptop can't use PS so this is only edited from a jpeg with Windows Pictures. Sorry!

I had a blast running my SPC 2-6-0 over the weekend. This loco has an RC system for the throttle, reverser, and whistle.
I was able to achieve a nice, steady, slow run and was quite happy to get a solid run in for an hour with just a few stops for water to be sure things were good in the boiler.
"long live" is a mystery word. I don't want to live forever, but I know you will live in deep of my mind forever.
Never Think more about the Past. It brings tears. Dont think more about the future. It brings fears. Live for every moment. It brings cheers.
-Couleurs du Maroc-
Images from my last trip to Morocco, the country I grew up in.
“The prototypes of strong sensation: blazing lights, red earth, blue sea, mauve twilight, the flake of gold buried in the black depths of the cypress; archaic tastes of wine and olive, ancients smells of dust, goat dung and thyme, immemorial sounds of cicada and rustic flute.”
Captured for Looking close... on Friday! theme: clothing labels. HLCoF everyone!

I haven't had DSLRs for very long. But I have always heard that live view wasn't very good compared to mirrorless cameras, as the AF performance was poor?
But I tried it out for the first time, and I was really impressed with the results!
One rose bush in the corner of the garden is very large. Its over 10ft (3m) tall, and just as wide. And there was a rose near the top, that I really wanted to get a shot of.
So I thought it was a good opportunity to try Live view? So I flipped the screen down, and reached up high with my arm. And even though my arm was a bit shaky? The results were far more impressive than I was expecting?
