"The line_up is a paperwork series I developed in 2010 /11, the “liners” are made out of paper (Din A4) ,

oil paint and graphite, the theme is the hermetical laws of polarity and movement. There is no ending and no beginning in any direction, just an endless movement. You have the possibility to arrange the papers like you want and that makes it an endless playground for my photo-work and the eyes of the viewers."

An assortment of Montana Rail Link locomotives are in various states of repair, being stripped for parts, or being stored in the railroad’s Livingston Shops on May 7, 2012. Up front is former Clinchfield/Seaboard/CSXT, now MRL EMD SD45-2 No. 301, which unfortunately was scrapped in 2014.

Hi Everyone!

This is at St. Andrew's Lock and Dam at the Red River, a popular fishing spot for American White Pelicans.

When you are at the top of the stairs, you can see the water rushing down the dam. It is there that the pelicans line up and go fishing. There are some huge fish that are swimming towards the pelicans. The water falling down the dam is quite loud so the birds aren't disturbed by the clicking of cameras. These are mostly young pelicans. Next post will be a closer up view. I must admit it was rather fascinating to watch from above. It was challenging because the space was barely large enough for my lens.

If you want to see how large some of the fish get, check out this previous post! It is a shot of a pelican with a HUGE fish!

The early-afternoon lineup of Metra trains on the Union Pacific West, North and Northwest Lines at Ogilvie Transportation Center includes F59PHI 90, the Chicago & North Western heritage unit, which had just arrived from Waukegan with a North Line run. It would shortly move to the station's engine servicing area.

So, I see these trees sitting on their hilltop from the freeway every day. They always have great morning light from the sunrise coming up directly behind them. They also see the soft evening glow of the sunset each night. The best view is from the road but I wouldn't risk my life on a California freeway for a picture. I pull off at the closest exit and make my way into a local community. There is just no good viewpoint. I park just off a very busy frontage road and quickly run across to a break in some trees and find this view. I'll have to live with this shot....unless I die trying for the next one!

The possibilities of AI are just dawning on me. This picture is generated with the help of many AI tools and many original pictures of mine. If you look close there are some tell tale signs like the strange tattoos and some problems with the hands, but the most obvious things have been photoshopped away. The tools beside my camera to produce this picture have been Photoshop, Topaz, Midjourney and Leonardo.ai

Great lineup at Gi Motorsports this past weekend. I'd take the Vitesse though.
