The Oak Leaf Trail Zip Line connects Estabrook and Brown Deer Park along an abandoned rail line. The section of the trail marked in red on the map above, between Mill Road and Silver Spring Drive, is where WE Energies has applied herbicide and clear-cut brush along their right-of-way. Trail users and residents of Crestwood Subdivision have health and safety concerns about the work, and the debris left behind.
This rubber tired vehicle will be used to bring material and workers into the Evergreen Line tunnel. As there is no room to turn this vehicle around inside the tunnel it has been built with drivers cabs at both ends of the vehicle so it never drives in reverse.

The new Hyundai Rotem cars built in Korea for the SkyTrain line -- the same as the K-stock trains used by the MTR in Hong Kong.
Here we see a line up of the different vehicles operating the Tarka Line rail replacement services between Barnstaple and Exeter photographed together at Barnstaple railway station with the sunset behind.

I used 6 photos to create this image. My daughter Elizabeth is a very shy reserved child and it was kind of amazing that she would play along with this multiple shot. In each pose she pretended to be an exasperated child waiting seemingly forever in line for the waterfountain at John Lester Smith Memorial Park in Jackson, Kentucky.
This is the view crossing from Los Angeles to Ventura counties by small plane. There's nothing that really marks the county line except that I've hiked in this area and know that it runs through on the right side of this image. The highway that cuts through the image from left to right is the 118 freeway and the community visible is the town of Santa Susana in the Simi Valley.
just a line art doodle of the Love Statue in Philadelphia. I plan on coloring it in digitally soon. I like the hippie swirly things. woo!

The blue line is probably the most photogenic MBTA rapid transit line. The new trains (even though I don't like the design, they are new), renovated stations, striking blue color, and there's something extra cool about trains that say "Wonderland" on the destination sign (not this end, sorry...)
The blue line is underrepresented in my photostream though, probably because of the lack of a direct connection to the red line. (I can't say it's because I have no reason to ever to go to the area it serves, because since when has that ever stopped me?)
