Here the Jakks Pacific Enchanted Rose Jewelry Box is placed on a small doll table next to two of my 17 inch Limited Edition Belle dolls (Disney Store, 2016 and 2010). It is about the right size for a scene with a 17 inch Belle doll. Also in the scene is a 12 inch Classic Belle doll (Disney Store, 2016) wearing a LA Belle gown (Disney Store, 2017). She is reaching for the Lenox Enchanted Rose Ornament (2016), which is just the right scale for her.
The Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Rose Jewelry Box by Jakks Pacific. I purchased this from ToysRUs for $19.99. It plays the theme music to the live action Beauty and the Beast movie, about 7 seconds in Try Me mode (while it's in the box), and about 20 seconds in full music and light mode. It is well made and a very good value.
The rose petals open up when you open the jewelry drawer, and the lights and music start playing. Alternatively, you can touch the button just above the drawer to get the lights and music going. There is also a lights only mode, where the rose lights up and flickers for 5 minutes, or until you touch the button again. Its overall dimensions are 5 inches in diameter and 9 inches high. The rose is about 4 inches high and 1.5 inches in diameter closed and 2.5 inches opened. The bell jar cover does not come off.

Fun fact about me: long before I collected dolls, I was an anime/video game figure collector! I started collecting around 12 and collected pretty actively until I was about 21. I took a break after that and sold a lot of stuff and then around 23 moved into collecting Pullips. In the last few years, I've kind of gotten back into figure collecting, but at a much smaller scale. I'm all about balance these days (because otherwise I'd have no money!).
This is the limited color version of the Princess Serenity petit chara that's being sold at the Roppongi Hills exhibit. Unfortunately, I wasn't in Japan for it so I had to order her on eBay for a pretty significant markup, but she's worth it! Her hair and dress are pearlized and I love her original manga colors so, so much.
Also included are two pictures of my very small modern Sailor Moon collection. I will probably eventually get all of the figuarts, but no more petit charas unless they're special cases like Serenity here.
La Mer wants to be a deer today! She is wearing one of the first BHC outfits that I bought more than a year ago...it is also one of my favorite BHC outfits! She is also wearing BHC boots.

I loved this set up on a table in the retirement home where my Dad lives. We are still in Amarillo visiting with family...I hope that everyone has enjoyed their Thanksgiving. I am very grateful for all my lovely flickr friends!

There are a few extremely rare moments in life where everything seems to come together naturally. Where nothing is forced and you can sit back and watch mother nature weave together her magical symphony of color and light. This was one of those rare moments. As the sun slowly faded below the horizon that night, it bathed the west side of the city in the most beautiful glowing light. To the east the city fell silent into a kaleidoscope of rich blues and purples. The scene was extraordinary to witness in person. To top it all off, the Freedom Tower can be seen at the edge of the city beaming it’s light up to the heavens. The overall design and shape is inspired by his iconic Caudron Simoun plane and his famous novel "Night Flight". Engravings on the barrel and cap show the sky as seen by Saint-Exupéry on November 1, 1929 at 23:00. As the director of the newly formed company Aeroposta Argentina S.A, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry conducted Aeroposta's inaugural flight on 1 November 1929, flying from an airfield at Villa Harding Green to Comodoro Rivadavia. The fittings are inspired by the cockpit of his plane. The geographic positions of important cities in Saint-Exupéry's life are engraved on the cone. The nib recalls his most famous novel, “The Little Prince”. This Writers Edition is limited to 1931 pieces, the year Saint-Exupéry published "Night Flight".

Unfortunately, her collar was up...from all the handling...did I notice at the time? Of course not!! Will show better pix of the dress tomorrow.
This one is kind of weird, because there is no chocolate involved; the crispy parts are coated in an indeterminate orange waxy material.
I keep seeing the KitKat Orange & Creme in sale bins at the local grocery stores. It seems not to have caught on, and I doubt it's going to make the much sought-after jump from "Limited Edition" to "New!".

Paula...our music box is here...I love it...the clown is dancing to "Send In the Clowns." Ever since we saw a similar music box on Paula's flickr, we have been searching for one! I got this on ebay from a really nice guy who lives in New York.
