In celebration of the holiday season, Lewis and Clark Community College held the annual Board of Trustees and President’s Holiday Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the Ann Whitney Olin Theatre in Hatheway Cultural Center. The concert featured the talents of Louis Michael on piano and vocals; Waylon Schroeder on saxophone; Jason McAtee and Elizabeth Hoffman on background vocals; Peter Hussey on percussion; the Wind ODDsemble, under the direction of Hussey; Grace Street; Dr. Robert Hamilton; Teresa Crane; Susan Parton Stanard; Lewis and Clark’s 45-voice Concert Choir and Limited Edition both directed by Stanard and accompanied by Brian McKinney on bass and Gail Drillinger on flute. I was deleting a bunch of photos off of my computer, and thought I would upload these comparison shots I took of version one and two Twiggy Yumi when I had possession of both of them a couple of months ago. I thought others might find them interesting too.
The one on the left is the second edition Twiggy Yumi (my Kiyomi) - she came with a pink dress. The one on the right is first edition - she came with a green dress.
I was surprised how different they looked- especially in person. The 1st release's face up was more monochromatic - her lips are very muted. The second release had much more color to her cheeks and lips- it is less obvious in the photo than in real life.
To be honest, in photos I thought the first version of this face plate was the most beautiful (on the right). I briefly toyed with the idea of keeping that face plate, since her lips were in perfect condition, unlike Kiyomi's.
But in person I preferred Kiyomi (and obviously, I view her in person most often). Plus, I do not like to split up sets that were meant to go together, and I definitely preferred my Terumi's (Yumi) face plate over the first version, so I decided to keep my original girls, as they came together, and their face ups are the same color palette.
