Celebrate the 70th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland with this one-of-a-kind doll inspired by the works of Mary Blair. Disney Legend, Mary Blair began drawing at Walt Disney Studios in 1940. As a pioneer and leading female artist in her field, she was an imaginative colour stylist, concept artist, and designer. It was Blair's topsy-turvy, upside-down art style that lent itself masterfully to the film Alice in Wonderland (1951).

I got my Rapunzel and Flynn Rider Doll Set from my local Disney Store on its release day, Tuesday September 3, 2013. I will photograph the dolls boxed, during the deboxing, and then fully deboxed. I will also compare them with other dolls in my collection.

Ariel Doll – The Little Mermaid – 2020 Holiday Special Edition – 11''
I totally regret not getting this Ariel on release from shopDisney. Her promotion pictures made her face look super strange, but in person she's absolutely breathtaking! I actually had her in my shopDisney cart on the night of the 10th Anniversary Rapunzel's release, but she sold out just as I was about to check out with Rapunzel. I was terribly dismayed, and ended up having to purchase her off Ebay. Now I wish I'd purchased more so I could debox and display one.

An artwork by Lawrence Weiner which reads “A CLOTH OF COTTON WRAPPED AROUND A HORSESHOE OF IRON TOSSED UPON THE CREST OF A WAVE”. Latitudes commissioned this new work on the occasion of his 2008 solo exhibition at Barcelona’s Fundació Suñol, from where it unfolded as a four-part project. 1: The distribution of a public sculpture in the form of 300,000 sugar sachets sweetening 70 cafés in the city. 2: As a statement painted on a wall. 3: As a musical composition. 4: As an action at the sea wall of Barcelona’s port. Through language and materials, the statement appears to comprise an account of Spain’s mercantile and maritime history, its equestrian and commercial power. To be thrown in the sea at the user’s discretion. Horseshoe not included.
