I never seen Soo trains 7 and 8 cross Upper Michigan....well I do have a picture of me and my Dad by the last run of 7 when I was to young to remember but thanks to the WC I was treated to this somewhat of a reincarnation of what I missed. This was April 1995 and someone in WC management wanted these two ACR business cars in Fond du Lac for a trip the next day so the 1505 came out of Soo yard leading them west almost exactly on the schedule of old Soo train 7. This picture has him rolling right along at Rudyard, the old Soo station is in the background and he's just crossed the big bridge over the Pine River. I felt like someone had turned time back to 1958 and I was able to shoot a geep leading heavyweight cars just like on the last trip of Soo 7!

We’ll most likely stay true to the Playpads format you know and love — because we love it too! Our system is built on Playpads, inspired by traditional conveyor-belt mechanics but reimagined and reworked.
We’ve always loved that you can see what you're buying for. 💖While the Playpad still chooses your purchase at random, it creates that perfect mix of excitement, luck, and the suspense of seeing if your favorite piece will land.
And guess what? New Playpads are on the way! Soon, you’ll experience an updated random drop mechanic, rotating featured items every 24 hours, a reward system, exclusive surprise gifts, and unique bonuses to thank you for your incredible loyalty and years of support.
We’re also happy to see transferable gacha's items back in action — it means you can trade, gift, and share the rarest and most treasured pieces from each set with one another!
Whether it’s building your perfect collection or surprising a friend, the joy of sharing is back — and we love it. 💖
We can’t wait to share it all with you!

Yesterday my wife found a little Teddy Bear left over from one of Jasper's Christmas stockings. Though I wasn't there to witness or document, apparently the introduction of Teddy to Jasper catalyzed a mulit-story zoomies reaction. With such a reaction Jasper really doesn't need stairs - more just a launchpad to get from one floor to the next in our house. Well, Teddy's head is most of the way off and he has no more stuffing, but other than that he seems to be quite happy to be Jasper's new friend.

A tweak to CN's operation here was made this summer. Trackwork on CPKC tracks in Minnesota delayed the call time for L506 and CN started parking the train just west of the autoport when L517 went off duty. Similarly, in the evening when L506 got back they would park and go off duty at the autoport.
For a time in July the L506 crew would cut off the train at the autoport and bring the light engines into town and park here at the depot, then go off duty. After a few hours the rested crew for L516 would be cabbed to the depot, go on duty, then take the power west to switch the autoport and retrieve the rest of their train. Thankfully I exercised the minimal effort required to come over here a couple times to shoot a number of angles of the parked power as it wasn't long before they went back to parking everything at the autoport. My guess is the convenience of starting/ending at the depot and fewer taxi rides was outweighed by having to put the train back together etc.
I rather like this angle which you definitely can't do with a moving train and probably not earlier when the streets are busier either.
