The Lakeshore Limited blasts through Westfield with AMTK 157 and AMTK 156 leading the way on a rather short train.

Locomotive Services Limited Class 87, 87002 “Royal Sovereign” heads across the Dutton Viaduct on its second day of loaded test runs as it prepares to lead off the LSL InterCity 2022 railtour season on 26th January with The Electric Scot to Glasgow.
The test run - on a glorious winter's morning in Cheshire - was running as 5Z50 09:00 Crewe D.H.S. to Carlisle.

60003 Andrew K. McCosh climbing the 1 in 107 of Holloway Bank, having just emerged from Copenhagen Tunnel. It is heading the down train on its non-stop run to Edinburgh which left Kings Cross at 9.45am, changed to 9.35am in 1952. The loco is in BR blue which it carried between January 1950 and October 1952. Photo taken by J. C. Flemons, and in my opinion one of the finest ever taken on Holloway Bank.
