Well, this is one of my more unusual portrait shots...and yet, is worthy of being called a portrait I think?
Necessity is the mother of invention...the father remains unknown at this time...perhaps panic? ;-)
These are the (very talented) hands of Steve Hackett (the guitarist with Genesis during what many of us consider their "classic" period) during his gig at the Renfrew Ferry in Glasgow last night.
This was during a section of the show where he played some acoustic numbers (including "Blood on the Rooftops" and "Horizons"), and he sat down to play...which meant my view suddenly became very limited. This became particularly true as the heads of the people in my line of sight bunched closer together to observe the great man at work.
All I could really see was...a tiny corridor between the heads of two people...but it allowed me this sort of view.
I strongly doubt I would have taken this shot if my options hadn't been so limited at the time...and yet, I'm very glad I did.
My thanks are due (and are duly given) to Alex Hewitt from The Scotsman for arranging my photo pass.
You can see my other pics from this gig in my Steve Hackett set.:
You can hear all Steve's excellent new album 'Out of the Tunnel's Mouth' here:

I decided to bring back an old event to SL. Starting in April! Designers welcome.
Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this!
My name is Amalie and I am hoping to bring back an old event called Limited Fifty. The event ran around 10 years ago and was exclusive to the kid community. This time, it will be open to all designers with the exception of X rated items. The event will run twice a month with the goal to become weekly. You will set out a new or recolored previously released item with a limit of 50 copies to be sold. The script will be provided to you. The item must be exclusive to the event and once it's sold you can not resell it. You may price it whatever you feel is fair. There are 30 regular booths for $250 each and 2 sponsor booths for $500 each. Sponsors have their own feature wall located in the center. Start date is April 15 and will run that weekend. If you are interested in joining, please message Amaliscious Destiny.
I look forward to speaking with you.
Warm regards,
Amalie
