A zombie walk is an organized public gathering of people who dress up in zombie costumes. Participants usually meet in an urban center and make their way around the city streets and public spaces (or a series of taverns in the case of a zombie pub crawl) in an orderly fashion.
Zombie walks are relatively common in large cities, especially in North America.
An early flash mob-type gathering of zombies was hastily put together at the Gen Con gaming convention in Milwaukee, USA in August 2000.
An early zombie parade event was held on 19 August 2001 in Sacramento, California, USA. The event, billed as "The Zombie Parade."
The first gathering specifically billed as a "Zombie Walk" occurred in October 2003 in Toronto. It was organized by local horror movie fan Thea Munster, and had only seven participants.
In subsequent years, the Zombie Walk has grown tremendously in size, with 7000 zombies and 3000 onlookers participating.[16] The Zombie Walk has spread to Vancouver, creating the zombie walk tradition in that city. On 27 August 2005, over 400 participants proceeded through Vancouver's Pacific Centre mall, travelled on the SkyTrain (referred to for the event as the "SkyBrain" or the "BrainTrain"), and continued 35 blocks to Mountain View Cemetery. In 2011, Calgary held their first zombie walk along the downtown core. It has since become an annual event gathering, with over 1000 people each time and growing.
It looks like my knitting was just too irresistable. This new tiny doll seems to really enjoy yarn!

I have a Canon 300mm F4.0L IS USM lens sitting in my drawer for quite a while right now. I would like to put this lens into a good use in MACRO! I did a test of this lens, trying to determine how big of a subject can fill my Canon EOS 7D. The result, as seen from this image, is that approximately a 9.3cm subject can fill the frame between the left and right edge. I hate having to crop during post-processing so I would like to increase the magnification. Here are two ways:
1. Use a 1.4X extender
Pro: Get a high magnification
Con: Reduce image quality (IQ), which is very important to me.
2. Use a 68mm Kenko extension tube
Pro: Lower magnificant than Option 1 above
Con: There is no glass inside the extension tube, so IQ will not be an issue
I would love to see this lens in action taking pictures of larger subjects like dragonfly and mantis.

Housekeeping and washing this morning - this is the only campsite where I have seen an enclosed area with washing lines outside the laundry. It's good as I have seen no washing on pitches, making a very tidy site. Plus a long chat to neighbours from Sunderland. Then off to find a supermarket. The one Satnav took us to, didn’t exist and we went round in circles until we (we? You mean Roger) stumbled upon (spotted) the carpark of a Dia%.
We walked into Ronda after lunch and made for the bullring. It was much as I would have expected and included a bit of a museum for the price of 6.50€ each. Wandered down the main street a short way and then got a taxi back. Invited John and Jenny, a couple from Sunderland, around for a drink.

As I am a Sony Alpha user, I would like to express my feeling for A7 Series camera that I like:
- Size and weight very light and easier to grab for my hand and more handy
- Silent shutter, BSI sensor 5 axis in-body stabilization and the possibility to use also with E-mount, A-mount and all brands.
- Visualize directly in viewfinder how the image will end up. I don’t have to verify it all the time, I am more confident in your settings, I save a lot of time, As I can see what your picture will exactly.
- Focus Peaking highlights the edges of the subject which is in focus, it's really useful for me.
- Whether I shoot macro, wildlife, concerts or whatever, it’s a very convenient means to get original angles and more creative pictures on the ground or above a crowd.
- Image Quality and Sensor Performances.
- The NFC and WiFi feature is to be able to use one’s smartphone as a smart remote and copy image. In fact, I don’t have to stand behind my camera to take the picture.
- The short distance between the sensor and the lens is one of mirrorless’ best advantages. It allows the use of whichever lens I want via an adapter. There are adapters for all existing brands.

This is part of an attempt to take one photo a day. I'm not calling it a 365 Project, though, as I doubt I can pull off something that ambitious, but I need to practice somehow.
This was taken with the Fuji 56mm f/1.2 wide open. It suffers from some camera shake, but I kinda like it as long as I don't look too close.
That's how I felt when I got off the Tower of Terror. I had no clue what the ride was going to do other than I was told it would drop you. There aren't many rides I don't care for, but this is one of them. I think the fact that it incorporates darkness and falling is what sent me over the top. And to think, I skydive and this ride nearly made me pee my pants.
Just playing around with some editing on a Saturday evening.

well, that's not true. i do love the framboise lambic but it's really expensive and i don't love it for the price that they sell it at. plus it has to be very freshly stocked or it tastes nasty.
i'm giggly here because willie said something off color. im completely sober. i'm the most fun.
