On Sunday I went to the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Newark, California. Most of the wetland around the SF Bay Area is managed by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Videographer/photographer Rich Malmberg of Ferrum Pictures took this photo of me.

Rich sent me the RAW file. I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from the RAW exposures, merged them selectively, carefully pulled the curves, and made the highlights of the wood a bit warmer.

After attending rocket launches in the Mojave Desert in California we headed to Garlock, a small ghost town in the desert. John poses at a door of an adobe ruin.

I processed a paintery, a balanced, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Amsterdam - Oosterdok.

July 2018.

Y allí se agachó con ellos, mientras los acariciaba decía que los iba a proteger... Y es que al tener gatinos y perro en casa se quita el miedo y se aprende a cuidar desde pequeños a otros seres vivos.

I like to drive up on Mt. Hamilton for sunset. From half way up on the mountain you can see the whole Silicon Valley, which is located at the south and of the San Francisco Bay Area. The sky turned red at sunset, caused by an inversion layer. I stayed until dark, and took this long exposure shot just when the red sky started to wane.

I processed a balanced and a natural HDR photo from four RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

In January we went to San Francisco, first for sunset near the Golden Gate bridge, then for the moonrise. Our first stop was the Sutro Heights park at Sea Cliff. The sun was low, casting nice shadows.

I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, carefully adjusted the color balance and curves, and desaturated the image. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
