Today we are going to enjoy a day out. Nothing unusual ( being retired) about that, of course, but the day is quite special as on this date August 22nd, in 1970, we embarked on this 'institution' called marriage. And here we are in 2025 - how did that happen, I ask myself?!
Have a great day yourselves, everyone!
Still beautiful! Thanks Maureen!
Re-posting an oldie, just for a change of scenery, and to add a bit of color to our day.
May your life
be like a wildflower,
growing freely in the beauty
and joy of each day.

Jan (janoid) .
Well, I'm sure that everybody is familiar with Jan and her heart-filled and heartfelt words and photos. Her way to bring joy and love to the world is sensible for everyone.
Thank you, Jan, for being part of the flickr-universe and for spreading out your lightfilled being also into our life...
Namasté,
Lars
btw: the title of this photo is "Agape", which means divine and unconditional love...
...for glowing, dancing, merging and light-filled life and for experiencing & then photographing it...
HBW to all of you...
This dramatic upward view reveals the stunning oculus skylight nestled within a flowing, sculptural ceiling at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. From this vantage point in the grand rotunda, fifteen circular windows punctuate the sky, framed by undulating surfaces that evoke natural landscapes. The interplay of light, shadow, and rhythm captures the museum’s architectural homage to indigenous harmony and connection to nature. Designed by Hillier Architecture and completed in 2004, this space combines elemental simplicity with symbolic depth—creating a contemplative focal point that bridges earth and sky in a cultural narrative framed by form.
How wide the world was, how close the trees to heaven,
And how clear in the water the nearness of the moon!

My Dearest Love…
Even with eyes close, I can see you… In the emerald color of the night… you surround me…
I hear the wind whispering your name… it’s in the night…
when I find myself thinking of you… when my heart is a on fire… when I can hear myself breath… when visions of us invade my senses…
My Love, I’m a simple man… Jealous to a fault… Passionate without reason… Unreasonable… Wanting more then my share of you…
But having said this…
No other man could love and worship you more…
Just a simple man… Without pride to ask you to take this humble heart…
The only riches I have, is this fire of desirers to make you happy… to care for you… and to love you….
Just a simple man… in love with you…………

This is the hand of my beloved nephew Tim that reached out to the leaves of a tree... it was such a wonderful, innocent and lightfilled moment, that I had to share it with you...
The light in his hand is so heavenly...
Best wishes!
Namasté,
Lars.

There's something in this photo that appeals to me...don't know what it is. How about you?
A wonderful and lightfilled weekend to you all!
Feel the sun
caressing your skin
feel the light
entering your soul
feel the bliss
of your soul
dancing to this light
feel the joy
of your body
whirling around
embracing the soul
Feel the gift
of being ONE

Have a wonderful and lightfilled start into the new week!
I wanted to create something dark and moody as reflection of my feelings...but it wasnt easy, I really had to tap into my darkest side to create this one...because no matter how much I tried, the image would come out filled with light :) I am finally happy with how this looks, however in the whole process I did a lot of introspection...and I am sharing one of my favorite quotes about darkness cause it really resonated with how I truly feel...
"...Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

..another glorious morning out in my garden friends, this is a tricky little 'love in the mist', whose song rang out to me..

May The Sun Shine Bright for You
Everyday with the dawn
Or a beauty i... on
Here with you I'm where I belong
May the sun shine bright for you
Autumn, winter and spring
And the summer feeling within
Evergreen... he brings
May the sun shine bright for you
Though you take me inside
On a... carnival of delight
On our life rollercoaster we glide
May the sun shine bright for you
For you, for you, for you

I spend the past three days without being able to access the internet...
an unbelievable long time!
A wonderful and lightfilled weekend to you all!
Until the windows all were broken out and the roof started to leak, this room must been a nice place to work.
The church of San Domenico in Alba, Italy was built starting in 1292 as a place of prayer reserved for monks from the adjacent convent of Dominican friars. Between the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries the church underwent some changes: tombs were built and the side chapels were added. The interior is divided into three naves by four rows of columns: two central cylindrical and two made of half-columns embedded in the walls.
The interior shows works of art from various periods. In particular, all along the walls and vaults are frescoes of the medieval cycle of paintings, dating from the late fourteenth century.
It was in this magnificent church that I enjoyed playing some great chamber music works with wonderful friends and colleagues and also performed as violin soloist for the Alba Music Festival with the Romanian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Larry Vote in "The Lark Ascending" by the wonderful English composer, Ralph Vaughan Williams.
This live performance of "The Lark Ascending" by Ralph Vaughan Williams is on YouTube at: youtu.be/GSg9y5xOfao
Head's all over the place today. Was nice and calm and then plonk - someone threw in a spanner and now it's gone screwy. So how this turned out is fitting. SOOC apart from vibrancy level and blue saturation drop.
new setup: sb600 full power with diffuser behind me at 7 o'clock, about 6ft pointed slightly down. White reflector at my 1 o'clock to catch flash light and provide lightfill. Camera at 12 o'clock. Triggered with hahnel wireless remote.
