Twisting Light #4 Continuing the experiments studying the refraction patterns of light through formed and moulded plastics.
These are analog images taken directly on to 35mm slide film. For the moment the images are mainly in B/W.
I hope this is a little less scary than the previous one!

Just a will to try the black and white in a park where we usually take pictures in colors. Taken at Saint-Pons park, Gemenos, near Marseilles
Took it in turns to paint a light glow around each other in daft poses. This is possibly my favourite shot of the whole night.
“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.”
Terry Pratchett
There was an eerie light on our bay for a few minutes after dawn and before the sun crept into the storm clouds. The lightening that started the California fires came soon thereafter.
Light trails of traffic heading under the Rise sculpture, on the Broadway Roundabout Belfast.
Here is a short timelapse video of the sculpture too.

The striker on my VO threaded stem mounted bell broke off so I drilled out a cork and mounted it to the bracket as an attachment point for a battery powered light. The cork was free from Riv.

We've all got both light and dark inside of us.
What matters is the part we chose to action.
That's who we really are.

Perhaps the most physically demanding shot I've done so far. To lie inches away from flames on our notorious grass with water attacking my face isn't the most pleasant experience. However, I guess it was worthwhile. I have burned our home's supply of newspaper, and I had to resort to paper bags.
And if i could, I would have lit a bon-fire like thing, but I couldn't risk burning down our garden :P
That would've beaten this paltry little fire
On a brighter note, no school tomorrow! :D
yay :)
The light seemed to be strained through these clouds onto endless fields of yellow. Birds sang and played while bugs criss-crossed all around me.
I'm enjoying the verstatility of the T*25 Distagon. It offers a really comfortable field of view, not so wide so as to push away a scene, but wide enough to take in a lot of information and very sharp in its rendering.

Today I post something very unsual for me as I usually upload colourful images.
I like this photo a lot although it is not one of my best shots. I wished the line in the background was more "straight" but somehow it has something fascinating. But the simpleness in combination with the dof and the light coming from above make the image for me special.
I took the photo at a place of which you can find many many shots. I wanted to shoot it in a different way to emphasize the place's meaning. The black and white fits here very well.
