Light in a room filled with light
For my partner in the pursuit of happiness
After taking in the displays in Kessingland church, I had a look round the graveyard.
It was mid afternoon & as it is winter the light was low and striking. I got a few striking shots wandering round and this was one of my favourites.

You know those times you see a bird land on a distant branch and you're not sure what it is exactly, but you're pretty sure it's something amazing and you'll probably be featured in National Geographic for your discovery?
Then you get the bird in focus, it moves into the light and ...
It's always a robin.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us.

I have often wondered whether the darkness in our hearts can be totally gone. Well there are moments in life when darkness begins to dominate and the light diminishes to a point where its so feeble and weak. Yet I think the light that still remains, although feeble, can still be accessed used as inspiration, through self reflection.
I say this through experience, and many of the personal journies that have led me to dance to the tunes of both light and darkness.
In our human quest to seek light, we must not forget that it is by experiencing darkness, that we see light. So let us remember to respect darkness as much as we value light, for we cannot have one without the other.
Dedicated to F.S and R.B, two friends who are currently dancing with darkness. May they soon play with light.

I'm told my recent posts have been unusually dark and somewhat out of character. I can't say I disagree. I'm working through it....
Does anybody else find it hard to stay on top of their flickr responsibilities?

Hit "L" for "Light"..
I go past this place almost every day, so i get to see it in a lot of different kinds of light. I shoot this scene a lot, too, but many pictures look the same.
On this particular day I loved the beams of light coming through the clouds, promising sun while it wasn't visible. I underexposed this shot a fair bit to put an emphasis on the rays of sun light.
Enjoy!
