It’s interesting to turn things upside down, it gives a whole new perspective on things, and in this case it’s a somewhat effective one. Huzzah!
Today started off very foggy, to the extent that I had to ad-hoc work out how to turn on the fog lights in Henry, and progressed to be baking hot. Possibly too hot, but then I’ll be complaining at the weekend, which looks set to be pretty manky, considering that Cat and I have planned to go to the Prom in the Park.
Still, we have waterproofs and umbrellas – what more do we need!

I was walking by and saw broken glass on the ground. This great lighting fixture was broken by a vandal. A lot has changed in my hometown since I grew up here. We're still a relatively low crime town but there's a lot more crime here than there was when I was growing up. Including dumb selfish crap like this.

Starburst? Art deco? Not sure. This is a light fixture in the lobby of the shabby apartment building I live in. Built in the1920s, the place has seen better days, but this lovely decoration remains.
The seventh light fixture is lit up and working. The 12 gauge wire hanging off of it is determined to be "hot", and consequently ready to be hooked up into the eighth light fixture.

Light rain shimmered down from the night sky as I made my way out of the club. I tilted my head back and savoured the rare sensation of it on my overheated skin.
Little Bourke Street was virtually deserted; an abandoned sound stage of rain-washed pavement and parked cars lit by a swaying formation of ornate lanterns.
I slowed my steps as I walked up the quiet street and felt deliriously happy to be alive.
Thought about editing out the walls but it didn't look right.

My classmate Lára and I went to a café called Bláa Kannan (the blue coffeepot) last Wednesday to take pictures and learn more about it. It has the most beautiful light fixtures. I just had to take a few pictures of them! This chandelier is one of about six or seven, I think.

There was a lot of fabric in the light fixtures at The Cosmopolitan, often used in conjunction with crystal (or plastic?) , as here.

Although flood fluorescent bulbs cost a little more to begin with, they are more efficient than incandescent flood lights and will save money in the long run.
