I was staring at our dining room light fixture and thought if I were a fly zooming just under this is what a planet would look like against the sun. Terrifying.
Shot from below, I love the sculptural form of this chandelier. I took shots with my iPhone 12pro and my Leica Q2. This is the Leica’s shot and I really like the nuance in colour. Also there is an amazing depth to this photo in terms of sharpness. I put the iPhone shot on my Instagram page and honestly it come across and just bright and garish.

Foggy Morning at Bagnall Dam in Osage Beach. We weren't expecting fog - and it disappeared quickly. but we were there, so we got the images.
The Los Angeles Public Library was designed by Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue and opened in 1926. It's in an Egyptian Revival style with sphinxes, snakes, mosaics, and of course the pyramid on top of the building. There is a huge globe chandelier in the dome under the pyramid. The Central Library was heavily damaged in 1986 due to an arson fire. It was restored and expanded by Norman Pfeiffer, and reopened to the public in 1993.
The Los Angeles Public Library is on the National Register #70000136 and probably should also be a National Historic Landmark.

Built in the 1920s, it is the largest surviving movie palace of that era. The architect was C. Howard Crane, and it is done in an Art Deco style. It is a National Historic Landmark. Its restoration was completed in 1988. It is now the venue for many performances.
At the time we went, things were busy for me on the homefront and I didn't get around to looking at or posting photos from that night. The time has come!

Alas, not much remains of the old railway terminal in Georgetown. Just an empty shell of rusty zinc sheets and faded shutters.
This composite is made up of 4 photos taken with the same camera and prime lens from the same building during its opening reception.
