here is a shot that involves a light fixture. yes if you happen to see a ceiling fan that has a light modifier in it this is the one. I was reading back the newly updated Lighting 101 by David Hobby (if you guys haven't read it yet try and visit back the site) he's asking fellow photographer to spread the good news so here it is...sometimes when you happen to hit a wall you need new ideas. Lighting 101 inspired me back even though I've read it many times.
so here is my creation one speedlight , my daughter as a model took a couple of shots and I happen to like this one. I will post the background lit version later. just wanna say Thank you to David for his endless effort to help us aspiring photographer to learn the craft by heart.
this shot was processed in Lr and Cs5.

...can't say I've ever really looked closely at a light bulb. This sketching thing really is helping on the 'observation' front. Not easy ...but then that's the point isn't it. If one spends all their time drawing only those things they know how to draw they never grow their skills.
This is from a pub i Stockholm. Normal lightbulbs make perfect interesting shots and you do no often see them anymore because you can not buy them. You can se the bar glasses hanging in the background.
Having some fun capturing suspended states..
