Soft morning sunlight on colorful badlands terrain, Death Valley National Park.
This area of Death Valley attracts me on almost every visit to this desert landscape. Unlike many of the places I like to visit in the park, it isn’t in the “back of beyond,” and I often photograph here on a morning when I don’t want to travel too far, for example on the final morning of a visit. Like many badlands locations, this area provides an astonishing wealth of potential photographic subjects, and their appearance changes with the light.
In keeping with the usual practice, we visited early one morning on this trip, arriving in the area before sunrise so that we would be ready for the arrival of the first light. This morning sun can be intense, but a bit of high cloudiness softened the light a bit, and this made the colors a bit more visible.

One from the archives: I have only been through Union Station in New Haven, CT, a couple of times - but the shiny tunnels are so attractive to photograph.
You're looking at a shot fired into a mirror of the following:
1- Nikon D300 Camera
2- AFS VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f2.8 G IF ED
3- Nikon R1 Creative lighting system with 2 additional SB-R200 flashguns
4- The top middle flash is the camera's built in flash in commander mode
What I love about this shot is that you can see the image captured in the sensor inside the lens' stopped down aperture!
I thought I would change the mood, this was taken on the same morning as my previous foggy sunrises, everything was perfect for this but the bonus was that person walking into the sun, the divine light!
Put light against light - you have nothing.
Put dark against dark - you have nothing.
It's the contrast of light and dark that
each give the other one meaning.

Both of these photos taken using long exposures of 30 seconds after the sun went down. I just loved the light reflecting on the Firth of Clyde and the cloud formation above Great Cumbrae Island.
Fleeting light illuminates Moelwyn Mawr as seen from the slopes of Cnicht on a day of 'Mixed' weather (that means it tipped down every now and then....). When the sun did burst through a gap in the clouds it was quite spectacular, and it was a real joy to be there.

Giornata dal tempo particolarmente variabile, per fortuna tra uno scroscio d'acqua e l'altro sono riuscito a fare qualche scatto, siamo a Genova Pegli, grazie alla lunga esposizione la mareggiata in corso ha lasciato spazio ad acque più calme, mentre il cielo si ricarica di nuova energia

Archie was perched on the arm of the chair watching a fly buzzing around the room. Light was streaming in through the window and casting reflections that made a beam of light effect and I just had to reach for my camera! I quickly swapped to my telephoto lens so I didn't get too close and disturb his pose. Enjoy!

A little photoshop work to change the colour tones. but the rest is all long exposure photography :D
