Taken back in May, and to be honest, I've no idea as to what it was, not a clue, but the points of light were extremely tiny. Definitely a macro, just wish I could remember 'a macro of what'!
Thank you for visiting. Your comments and/or faves are greatly appreciated.
Late afternoon sun on this iconic light. Always a popular site as you can drive to a lot, and all sorts of photo gear and cell phones taking shots no matter the time of year or day.
After a week of rain, a glimpse of sunlight came this weekend and made my day. Beautiful shapes and colours brings this kind of light, filled with perfection and hope.
Wishing you all a sunny and beautiful weekend!
Southern BuIlrush - Typha domingensis
Cut at water level shows this rush is built for absorbing water and waving in the wind.
Interestingly, this rush species has male and female flowers on the same stem. Top brown flower is male, bottom female....

Details of sand dunes in soft evening light, Death Valley Naitonal Park.
Sand dunes are always fascinating subjects, both for their appearance as part of the larger landscape and because they contain almost infinite varieties of smaller subjects, textures, colors, and variations in light. I made a wild guess recently that I’ve probably been to Death Valley perhaps twenty-five times. You’d think that I might start to tire of the dunes or run out of things to photograph there… but there’s not sign of this happening.
We went to these dunes late in the day and had them entirely to ourselves. The light was challenging, as clouds were building to the west. As the clouds moved the light increased and decreased, but overall it remained quite soft the entire time. But this just provides another variation on how we can photograph this subject, and the soft light lets me reveal some subtle details that can be lost in brighter conditions. I made some post-processing choices here that highlight the variations in light and the soft forms of the dunes.

Electrical Storm over Manhattan looking towards Central Park. I hadn't had time to process this image taken from the Empire State Building since I returned from my travels. This is 6 different 30 second exposures blended manually in Photoshop.
Light trails, why do we like them so much? My guess is because they give us opportunity to see something we know exist, but is not observable with our eyes. A glimpse into the unseen ;)
Dutchmen Pipe Leaf vine wrapped around the barbed wire in the late evening bokeh as the sun went down through the trees and the light shining in .I like the way the vine wraps around the barbed wire mingling together and I enjoy the spider webs that are not seen until you look close, My sister gave me this Dutchmen pipe vine many years ago
The different light sources drew my attention this corner of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims.

I don't like the composition of this shot, but I can't resist uploading this image as the light and bokeh here are gorgeous. Especially the hair of the right flower is shining in the light and it is absolutely gorgeous (anyway to me).
See you tonight. I will go out soon and teach, steward, teach and dine today so will be back quite late at night. I hope you all have a lovely Wednesday. Hopefully see you later :-)))

No matter what you're going through, there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you'll find the positive side of things.

Misty scene at Savernake Forest, Wiltshire
Took another trip to Savernake Forest last weekend as fog/mist was forecast. I decided I'd try a different bit of the forest from where I've been snapping the veteran oak trees. There was a bit of mist around first thing but not as much as was forecast and it seemed to disappear by about 2 hours after sunrise. I had just packed away and was walking back to the car when the sun rose above the the tree canopy and suddenly there were light beams coming through catching a bit of mist that wasn't visible until then. Couldn't pass that up so out came the gear and I snapped away for a few mins. I quite liked this one and although I did take some bracketed shots just in case this is a single exposure.
Thanks for viewing and hope you all have a great day/weekend.

The time of colors and light has come finally! But unfortunately I'm pretty busy to make and edit the pictures. So here's another photo from the archive.
All we are just the catchers of light. At least me...
Thank you for all the comments and favs, my friends.
