The symbol of fire meant for him above all the warmth and radiance of love and light, the energy to fuse and transform everything. Of course, fire is ambivalent; it can destroy as well as transform. In Teilhard’s understanding it is the transforming power of the energies of love that alone can create a true human community and provide it with its strongest bonds, so that we can live in justice and peace. The fire of love may be the only energy capable of extinguishing the threat of another fire, namely, that of universal conflagration and destruction. The fire of love is what is most specifically human; it is central to the full emergence of the noosphere as a world that is transformed and made whole, a world that can be holy.

I got the timing perfect here. 6 second exposure. All of the lights on the front of the locomotive do not illuminate simultaneously. But they were all caught illuminated with the long exposure. Read the notes for explanation of each light.

The dispatcher called the Oglevie cop on me just as I was leaving, who turned out to be a really nice guy. He said I had to leave though.

My Home Depot octagonal ring light. Made of 1" PVC pipe fittings. I use 100 watt bulbs.

The entire project took about 3 hours including painting it. I used 8 lights, 7 T's, 2 (4 way T's), 8 45* fittings and wire.

I can't remember where I saw this design, just designed it on paper and put it together. You should have no trouble finding plans on the internet. Good luck.

We had a great talk from touching-the-light, "Coast 17" .... thank you Ken :) I just know I wouldn't have survived the Sussex coast, so am full of admiration for all those miles you covered.
