The Roasterie coffee house and it's iconic DC-3 plane that sits atop the building. As I keep advancing in my photography skills, I have to be reminded to walk around my subject matter and to sometimes get high or lower as well. My other images of this area are typically done with a tight crop of the plane. I rather like this view. What do you all think?

Sanhill cranes spread their wings as they begin liftoff on their morning flight at Bosque del Apache.
I was watching this tri-colored heron wading in the cove when without warning it suddenly lifted off. This was the best shot that I could get of it as it flew by me. Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, Assateague Island.
Taking off in hopes of it's next meal. I followed it to the ground, but it came up empty. Dixon Meadow Preserve, Lafayette Hill, PA.

The milliesecond after my finger pressed the shutter.
With a huge train of 12 loads the 4116 gives it to the hill out of Eagle Bridge, and the PAR interchange. They put on quite a show and were successful in getting the consist to Greenwich Junction, as they do every week.
A flock of Canada geese (Branta canadensis) taking off near Yarmouth, NS. The sight's impressive, but the sound is amazing!
A female Least Bittern crosses open water between two stands of bulrushes near the mouth of Horsepen Bayou at sunrise. Sometimes the bitterns will publicize their launch schedule making a shot of the liftoff a bit more likely.
