TOTW: lessons learned learning.
"you are your own biggest critic."
"we are born at war with ourselves."
for me this is a reality that i am trying to alter so that i might live a happier life. i need to cast away the ugly parts of myself that are hurting me.
i can do this. i can change. i can move forward. i can be happy.
"stop being your own pariah."
credit for this phrase goes to Nina Yau. (see the rest of her ongoing manifesto here.)

You know someone is a true friend when you are about to break down and cry but they will say the stupidest most random thing; just to see you smile. #jameshetfield #KirkHammett #larsulrich #roberttrujillo #metallica #metallicafamily #mff #MetallicaBefore #MetallicaNow #MetallicaForever #MetalUpYourAss #metal #ThrashMetal #heavymetal #LegendsOfThrashMetal #life #lifelessons #lifequotes #friends #truefriends #friendshipquotes #motivation #inspiration #inspirational #quotes - babz_mania
This couple were lots of fun to watch and they talked about how they have to balance work along with their personal lives. Sometimes it's hard to do a good job performing if they haven't been working hard on their personal relationship and emphasized the importance of communication. Folks could learn something from these two people.
Good Morning To My Health Partner Linda and Growing List of Flickr Health Partners:
This is one of my healthy resources, "Arthritis Magazine", published by the Arthritis Foundation. This article is entitled, "Reality TV vs. Real Life".
Usually, this publication helps remind me to take gentle care of my joints while exercising and take "small steps in the right direction" as one of my wise contacts put it. I'm not sure what the AF was thinking this month by using this photo! (October) However, they will warn you to BE WISE later in the article.
Know this: I'm going to keep things simple . . .
So, you can tow your own car, thank you very much. Don't call me instead of AAA.
I'll be sticking to building my yoga practice, lifting small weights, walking and stationary bikes! Simple, realistic and healthy.
What's your exercise pleasure? (Please don't say you tow cars on your back). LOL
Hugs,
Nighty
P.S. 15 minutes on my exercise equipment this morning and 10 minutes of yoga stretches. I'll finish the last 15 minutes later today. And you???
P.P.S. Need a health partner? Join us!

Valuable tips for seekers of the spiritual path on how to deal with criticism effectively.
‘If you are born with meekness in your nature, it doesn’t mean you are a coward.’ - His Holiness Younus AlGohar
An excerpt:
'When you are driving in the wrong direction and you know that it is wrong, you develop uneasiness. That is what happens with people who have a purpose in their life but they are not moving towards their goal.'
‘Hope is the only solution to the widespread terror and fear.’ - His Holiness Younus AlGohar, ‘Brown People and Jews Are the Scum of the Planet’ — According to a White Supremacist'
“So often goes the cat to the lard that it leaves its paw behind.”
This proverb speaks about temptation and habit: when you keep going back to the same risk, the same vice, the same mistake… sooner or later you pay the price. Not because of fate, but because repetition leaves traces — and traces become proof.
I chose to represent this saying through Artificial Intelligence not to replace photography or “pure” art, but to use a new medium as an expressive tool.
For me, AI is not a master and not a shortcut: it is a contemporary material, like light, a set, collage, or editing.
I use it on my own terms, to step outside conventional boundaries and translate universal concepts into images — without becoming a slave to the machine, but remaining the author.
