Day 115/365
It's a cold, gray day in Kansas and I'm so thankful for our hot tub! Spin class was extra tough today so a soak in this warm inviting water was just what I needed.
I'm also thankful for the call I just received from Big Brothers Big Sisters...I sent in my resume for the position of Case Manager and they would like me to come in for an interview. Keep your fingers crossed-it would be the perfect job for me!!
Had to put something up other than pix of the new home! Still have some more photos to go through from the Agway run.
It's a bright, sunny late Summer's day here in Johannesburg! What beautiful things are you going to do today? I'm going to a trout farm for a picnic!

Week 1 - Faceless Portrait
I had done another photo but decided to change. The scene here is from early this morning as the icy rain hit the porch as I was curled up by the fire with my cat next to me under one of my afghans. I realized as I sipped my coffee with my unmanicured nails gripping my favorite mug that this scene was pretty much a portrait of me and so many things I enjoy even during this pandemic. Trying to embrace a bit of calm as I get ready to start the week. Hoping it is less chaotic than last week!
It's Good Friday weekend and the East Coast Beach is packed with family and kids enjoying their day out under the sun.
Slightly edited mobile phone cam shot of myself and my cool 'Brrr!' hat, reflected on the window of a car in Amsterdam. Taken with my C905 mobile phone. No editing besides some playing around with contrast and saturation, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)
I've said it already earlier this week, I miss the Summer...we are currently experiencing a wicked Winter in the best country in the world, snow, ice and incredibly cold winds coming straight from Russia that always seem to blow in your face, no matter in which direction you look. This is a bit of a challenge when riding a bike, but I am more than happy to give it a try each and every day, so far I did not have to resort to taking the Tram or Metro (don't like them, don't need them) and I silently suffer on my daily 10-kilometer commute, not just because my lips are frozen shut, but also because my cool bike, Lord Bikenheimer, helps me wherever possible and together we manage to make it to the office in just a slight state of hypothermia, nothing to worry about, lol ;-P
Enjoy the wicked weather, stay inside if you can :)
