this photo taken by "marlin mick" on board his boat "Rum and Coke", shows me having a fight against a blue marlin probably about 450 lbs. I fought it (or should say "it faught me") for 1 hour and 20 minutes. During that time we got it close enough to the boat that Mohaja could touch the leader which gave us the "release points" as confirmed by the judge we had on board. However, after touching it the fish took off again and we never saw it. It was still fighting me when the "fish control" radioed in to say we only had 25 minutes to board the fish, se we had to tighten the "drag" in order to try to get the fish in faster. 5 minutes later she took off again and the 50 lb test line broke. It was awesome and my unfit muscles hurt for 4 days!!!!!!
sunshine is a state of mind. except when there are those exceptionally summery weekends smack dab in the middle of january.
