"The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart."
~ Helen Keller
These flowers are so much tiny, they are about 5-6 mm only, they look like grass or any other strange plant, but when they bloom these tiny blue flowers, and so crowded around each other, you feel as they’re glowing, small lamps in the ground.
I sat among them on the ground and began to get closer, as my camera can, to get the closest shot, then I realized how beautiful they are, so put the camera aside and just stayed staring at them and touching them for a long time..... maybe you’ll think I’m crazy but I really felt like I’m one of them :)

...never too early to get ready for Halloween! ;-)
have a good friday and take care...TGIF, my friends!
A new ray of craziness !!! :))
In the first grade, my favorite class was sports class, where the teacher used to teach us some ballet moves, with tiny white ballet slippers... so I dreamed that I want to be a ballerina...
Then, when classes became more serious... I liked science, physics, math.... etc... and there was always that question that everyone asked: “what you would like to be when you grow up ?” ... I always answered “a pharmacist of course, like my father !!”...
And the dreams flowed one by one... doctor, pediatrician, plants scientist, veterinarian, basketball player, adventurer discovering the mountains, globetrotter, pilot, décor engineer, flowers gardener, Olympic swimmer, diver, guitar or violin player, PHOTOGRAPHER !!! ..........
The only thing I didn’t dream about is Software Engineering !!! :))
Well, I don’t say I didn’t achieve my first dream, IT Engineering is so close to Ballet, isn’t it ??
Only one thing changed, the “Tip Tip Toe” became “Type Type Crash the monitor if the computer got the hiccup !!!” :))
And so you see, I’m still a ballerina !!! .... but in another field :D
I say... everyone of us got the right major and personality that suit him/her very well at work, but inside... we are all what we dreamed about, they all come back to us in certain moments :)

My first really good outcome of an insect shot. Still no macro lens, but I'm happy with this lens' capabilities.
...let's hope February will be just a little bit warmer for those of us in wintertime....brrrr....(it was only 35F/2C today; not a nice way to end the month)
In nature, nothing is ever perfect and yet everything is perfect. (my observations)

It's funny; although I'm always very busy, I still have a lot of time (and I'm thankful for this) to think... thinking about friends, family, situations, good and bad things, wellbeing, illnesses, deceptions, surprises, I have small thoughts and very grand ideas, I often even laugh out loud because of the ways my weird mind works - and many thoughts are being thought when I tend to my lovely garden.
I wanted to share this capture with you for a long time. It never happened. NOW, that we are entering autumn and - if we are very lucky – will enjoy a beautiful Indian Summer, I let you have one of my many perfect summer impressions.
In my
'World of pondering, thoughts and sighs' and my 'Kingdom of laughter and hilariousness’ (this probably is MY personal best 'English Heritage' as Simply NOBODY else can, as the English do, make the very ordinary look extra-ordinary)', or even when I'm dwelling in my ‘Domain of silliness’, where I'm behaving disgracefully, singing under the shower, hopping up and down when delighted - there IS a place for every single one of my beloved ones, be they near or far, whether we’re in constant contact or only by writing, even for those I haven’t heard of for absolutely ages… I still connect with them, share their sorrows, delight in their joys, I pray for them, and if possible, call them for a natter, lend a listening ear, write a note.
I tend to apologize (halfheartedly…. ) for being far from perfect when I’m in contact with my friends and therefore I spend some of my ‘thinking time’ on ‘how to be [more] perfect’ – always being perfectly aware at the same time that I shall never be anything like even nearly perfect…. Then I read those quotes and I smile, jump a bit up and down until I hurt my ankle and that’s that.
So, let’s ignore the absolutely awful weather many of our beloved ones suffer right now, let’s not think about winter and avalanches, I shall be thankful if I don’t have to water my garden but also even more thankful for when the sun shines again – let’s delight in this late summer impression. I have planted some 15 lavenders over the past years, different kinds, very early and very late ones – so I had the sweet smell of these happy plants wafting around me for many, many weeks and the last ones are just now ending their flowering. There is still the occasional butterfly dancing through the garden; my garden is really the perfect pharmacy of happiness, contemplation, consolation and How to break your back in an 'easy' way'... lol (see what I meant with silliness?)
Finally I found the Smurfs Land in our garden !! .... you know when you hear those little gentle voices among the trees in the night ? .... those are Smurfs !! LOL !! :D
I love these mushrooms, not for eating of course, I'm not sure if these can be eaten, just watching them and studying their unique created design, I don’t know what kind they are, but they are so cute and I always get so exited when they pop out of the ground in some moisture or wet dark places, so small and crowded as they are competing who get out of the ground first.... AH... Lovely !! :))
of course I took tens of shots for them, with my head and elbows on the muddy ground to get that close, and whenever I see something interesting to shoot, I start the session with “Hello You !!”... so I did with these, I real feel they are talking and competing each other, don’t you think so ?? :))
so, for that and another.... Life is Beautiful ♥ :)
Hope you had a wonderful weekend, and wish you a lovely week !!!

isn’t she CUTE !!!!!! :))
I’ve never been so crazy about something before as I was this time !!!... this is the most exciting experience I’ve ever had, even more than the hedgehog !!! :))
that day, I was walking in the garden around my father while he was planting new vegetables, between the seedlings I’ve noticed so tiny black ball spinning 360 degrees !!! ... I thought it was a kind of bug, but when I got closer, my biggest surprise !!!!... it was the eye of the dragon staring at me !!!! :D
I yelled ... once ... twice ... maybe three ... as I think the neighbors heard me:
“PAAAAAAAA ... A CHAMELEON ... A CHAMELEON !!!“
Pa: “wait ... let me catch it for you !!”
while I hurried to bring my camera... for the first time it wasn’t with me !!! ... and Ma saw me running crazily and asked me what happened to scream like this “so what, what did you find this time ?”
“A CHAMELEON !!!”
I went back to Pa while he was holding her with his hands, and I was so excited to try and hold her, and asked him: “does it hurt ? ... does it hurt ?”...
Pa: “No...”
at once, before he finished his sentence, I “kidnapped” her... and ah ... what an awesome feeling, watching her climbing my fingers and looking at me and my father at the same time, an eye on me and another on him, creeping slowly, with her tow-parted hands and feet, all over my hand and my arm trying to run away, she was so tender and so beautiful... that was really so amazing experience that I will never forget !!!
when I finally set her free, she hopped fast on the ground, that’s strange !!... and she turned into dark green with black spots, then back again to light green when she reached to a bunch of parsley ...
this one is too small I think, comparing with my hand, I saw a much bigger one before long time ago when I was kid, but never catch her...
.... and don't get surprised that I held her... I did worse than that before... I held frogs, worms, snakes !!! .... :D
And Life is Beautiful ♥ ... Awesome with these cute creatures... YaY !! :))
From Wikipedia (if you would like to know more)
The family Chamaeleonidae are a distinctive and highly specialized clade of lizards. They are distinguished by their parrot-like zygodactylous feet, their separately mobile and stereoscopic eyes, their very long, highly modified, and rapidly extrudable tongues, their swaying gait, and the possession by many of a prehensile tail, crests or horns on their distinctively shaped heads, and the ability of some to change color.
Some (but not all) chameleon species are able to change their skin colors. Different chameleon species are able to change different colors which can include pink, blue, red, orange, green, black, brown, yellow and turquoise. Recent research indicates that they do not only change their color for reasons of camouflage, but also use colour changes as a method of communication, including to make themselves more attractive to potential mates.
Chameleons have specialized cells, collectively called chromatophores, that lie in layers under their transparent outer skin. The cells in the upper layer, called xanthophores and erythrophores, contain yellow and red pigments respectively. Below these is another layer of cells called iridophores or guanophores, and they contain the colorless crystalline substance guanine. These reflect, among others, the blue part of incident light. If the upper layer of chromatophores appears mainly yellow, the reflected light becomes green (blue plus yellow). A layer of dark melanin containing mellianophoripeidess is situated even deeper under the reflective iridophores. The mellianophores influence the 'lightness' of the reflected light. All these pigment cells can rapidly relocate their pigments, thereby influencing the color of the chameleon.
Chameleons generally eat locusts, mantis, crickets, grasshopper and other insects, but larger chameleons have been known to eat small birds and other lizards.
I thought about this idea long time ago, but Pa is a so hard model, as he’s from that kind of men who don’t stop working, sleeps 6 hours a day only, wakes up at 5 AM, and so on…
So yesterday, while he’s working in the garden, I said: “Pa, I want to take a photo for your hands…”
He answered: “ok, wait till I finish this…”
And I kept following him from place to another, nagging like a child: “Paaaaaa…. come oooooon… “
Finally, he stopped and said: “ok, I’m ready…”
Me: “ok, put your hands on the ground… nooooo, around the thyme stem… Paaaaa, put your hands like this !! ….”
Pa: “what are you planning to do ?”
Me: “I want to take a photo for your hands while working with plants”
Pa: “what’s the subject ? Planting ?”
Me: “No, the subject is your hands !!” :)
(Pa laughing !!)
Me: “look !!... it’s beautiful, isn’t it ?”
Pa: “yes !!”
And he was so happy with it !!! :))
And of course I had to pay a fee for that !!! … I had to work !!! …. So I hanged my camera on a tree to take a rest, while I went back working in harvesting the thymes !!! :))
That secret in my father’s hands... always warm, even in the deadly freezing weather, always so warm with no need to any gloves !!
I always loved, and still, playing with them, putting my whole hands in one, stressing them like a toy, taking some of that magical warmth… I feel like he puts his heart in his hands to give... and he really does... as he works with patients everyday, he always puts people before himself, he never thought about himself first, and all people love him, specially the kids, for the majestic services he gives, a smile he draws on a poor man’s face, brightening up the life of the tired hearts...
One of the most lasting memories from my childhood, laying beside him, while he’s watching soccer match, and his hands making me to sleep, moving it over my face and closing my eyes, I remember the feel of this mesmerizing warmth driving me to sleep… and his hand covering my whole face… it was huge :D
Carrying me in another moment, and dancing on the tones of a song I still remember...
The photographing fever started by him, he is my great teacher and inspiration, at the end of the day he always asks me “show me what you photographed today…”, looks with pride to what I did right, and gives me advices for what I did wrong…
And a lot a lot of moments should be written in books...
Fathers, the noblest people, the guarding angels, they leave in our hearts the most immortal memories, their words engraved in our minds lasting for whole our lives, and their souls become a part of ours…
And they say, the first man a girl falls in love with… is her father… wishing that all the men in the world are like him..... I do !! :)
And Life is Beautiful......... given by them ♥ :)
