En nuestro viaje por Uzbekistán, Wall-E disfrutó mucho haciendo de nómada en el campamento de Yurtas Aydar situado en el desierto de Kyzyl Kum.
As the wind picked up, Tony Stark took a moment from his exploration of the microverse to catch his breath.
Suddenly, his armour's sensors detected a presence...BEHIND HIM!!
Thinking it was another vast insect towering over him Iron Man whirled quickly around with his repulsors powered up and ready to fire.
Only to find that something else had already blown the unidentified threat away....
Well, thought the Golden Avenger, isn't that just dandy!

While on patrol in the microverse the Incredible Shrinking Iron Man rescued a lizard from certain death by drowning in a water recycling tub.
The grateful reptile gasped its thanks and asked how it might reward the gallant red and gold Avenger.
"No need," Shellhead insisted, "Just doing my job."
The lizard looked disappointed so Tony Stark thought for a moment then kindly added, "Well, there is one thing you might do....if you ever run into Fin Fang Foom you could put in a good word for me."

Actually, that's pretty much the way this picture came about, just as Iron Man said. We spotted the lizard floating in the water tub, scooped him out, and as he was recovering (the cold water had made him torpid so he had a lie down in the sun for a while) quickly set up and snapped this picture. I've done very little to alter it.
Sometimes you just get lucky; certainly true in the lizard's case! It scampered away later.
I think this little bloke is a Marbled Gecko (Christinus marmoratus)....

In twelve years of broadcasting I've not had much trouble with uncooperative interview guests; I reckon this one would be the exception that proves the rule!
Picture taken on a whim, with nothing but the ambient studio lighting. I've monkeyed around with the colour balances and a certain amount of, um, digital enhancement. But otherwise that's pretty much it.

As a fan of the Marvel Comics character Iron Man as well as a collector of the spin-off action figures I got a grim chuckle out of the Marvel Zombie alternative universe story arc where the superheroes are infected with a zombie plague and become undead!
And poor Tony Stark thought he had problems being an Alcoholic!
The Thirst was as nothing compared to the Hungerrrrrrr......!
Anyway, I can't wait for the inevitable toy line to come out, in late 2007, so decided to sculpt up my own interpretation of the Golden Gobbler.
This is by way of a sneak preview....a tasty 'appetizer'. This is the left arm assembly, made from Super Sculpey, an oven fireable modelling clay. It's roughly the same size as you see it on the photo's home page. Each of the joints is drilled for articulation. The next stage is to make rubber moulds for casting these pieces in one of the thermosetting plastics, as the Sculpey isn't quite as strong as I'd like the final action figure to be.
The tolerances on the joints are quite fine and have given me a whole new appreciation for the fine art of figure sculpting!
I shot these components on a piece of red leather, just to cue the signature Iron Man colours....

The Incredible Shrinking Iron Man enjoys hanging out with his Snail mateys, shooting the breeze, comparing armouring tips, and just generally kicking back, but alas, all too soon, he's got to get back to Avengering....

The Incredible Shrinking Iron Man had run into a lot of wee beasties since he'd been accidentally miniaturised by Pym Particles. Some of them had turned out to be old friends, allies and even Avengers.....

I took this one in the workshop at our previous residence. Once again, I had the feeling I was being watched and turned around from what I was doing to see this beauty perched on the side of my heavy armour stand. I grabbed the Iron Man figure and rather cautiously positioned him about 5 mm behind the patient spider, who was a good sport about the whole thing.
It's yet another Huntsman (Sparassidae) of course,
quite commonly found here in Australia.
He cheerfully toddled off outside after we were done.

Recordareis que en nuestro último encuentro, el Rabbid condenó a Wall-E a quemarse en la hoguera. Tras aquello no se volvió a saber de él y la verdad es que todos, incluida su amada EVA, lo dieron por muerto, pero…

Updating this album, as it has been 10 years since I started collecting (mostly thrifting) plastic bangles and have reached the amount of 184 bangles in August 2016. Orange-yellow-brown, 33 bangles. This is an easy color category to thrift.
