Some people hear the phrase ‘leisure time’ and see it as an automatic free pass to lounge around and do nothing. So, we’ve rounded up few tips for things you can do with your leisure time!✌️

In which I attempt to explain life hacks to a lay audience in 9 slides.
I swear it’s funnier with the transitions and my live musical soundtrack (mostly performed while holding my nose and trying to emulate an Edison Wax Cylinder).

I was preparing for some studio shots (that I never got around to actually shooting), and I needed some tripods or stands for some strobes that my brother in law let me borrow. At 2:30 am, I rolled out of bed and jotted a few things in my notebook. Ladder. Bolt. Washer. Counterweight. This system turns any ladder (with a tool holding hole at the top) into a tripod for a camera/handycam or strobe system. Simply get the appropriate length of threaded bolt stock. The standard threading for tripods and camera mounts is a quarter-inch (1/4") with coarse threads (20 threads per inch). The dude at the hardware store will likely call this "quarter twenty." Take that bolt stock, put an eye bolt at one end to attach a counterweight to it. On the other end, place a fender bolt and a nut to act as a stopper. The placement can be adjusted for different heights. Then, screw the strobe/camera or camcorder to the top. Call it a day. Hope you find it helpful.
Inspired by a post in Lifehacker. I traced the shape of a frame on butcher paper, then taped onto a wall. Moved papers around to a pleasing arrangement.
Note: while tracing the frame I used a pencil to poke a hole where the nail would be placed.
Came back from a late night out with friends wanting to watch Trailer Park Boys from bed with the bf and realized that since the bed got elevated, this task was now impossible. Room is small, furniture is scarce. This was the best I could do. Looks like hell (steampunk maybe?) but works decently.
playing my favorite podcast, powercord/sync cable can be snaked through opening underneath. Axle can be moved to several positions behind iPod so that it rests at different viewing angles.

I was just randomly thinking and writing the ideas down as they came. Total stream of conciousness stuff.
Lifehack: Der Dosenkühler ist bauartbedingt auch für Flaschen geeignet. Ich nutze den selbst für Getränkedosen und Glasflaschen, PET Flaschen. Bedienungshinweis: Nicht zuviel Ventilatorluft hinblasen. Schatten, leichter Windhauch und etwas Geduld reichen.

Update: So this doesn't look like just a wallpaper I have added some of my windows to show transparency. Also started to use Enigma. I like to keep it very minimal and I think that this shows a very nice clean slick look.
I broke my own rule about dog-earring pages to keep track of all the useful "lifehacks" in this book. I highly recommend this book (Lifehacker by Gina Trapani).
It seems that I've seen plenty of attempts to figure out the whole, "Where the hell are my dry erase markers?" problem. The marker storage solution should be:
Easier to use than not
Oriented to keep the markers inverted so gravity forces the ink to the felt tips
Scalable to accomodate a wide variety and quantity of markers
Aesthetically pleasing
Simple to install
Insanely cheap
Again, Velcro to the rescue. Get a long strip of velcro, and stick a long black strip of the hook side along the bottom of the whiteboard. Match the color if you feel so inclined. Then, wrap a band of the loop side near the top of the marker. Presto! Returning the markers back to their spot is as easy (if not easier) then putting them on your desk and forgetting where they are when you need them.
Yahoo! Tip: Getting velcro is as easy as walking over to Facilities walk up help desk on A1. they'll bring out a roll, and you cut your length!
