Lunchtime life drawing session at work. 90 seconds, done with zen brush app on iPad (using a 1 pixel brush). I like the way the pen bleeds when i stop moving the stylus - it has a bit of a felt marker feel.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

with video artist Luke Dubois,
so there were 3 lives here.
1. the disabled man, i didn't ask him to pose, this is instant, but he noticed me, smiled, and winked.
2. the smiling women. she smiled in a way i can't decipher. is that just a shy smile?
3. the cautious woman on the right. while holding her cellphone, she studied the disabled man. wonder what she's thinking.

This piece belongs to the Harmony of Life collection, which renders artistically the HARMONY between Man and Nature in new shapes and finishing. It demonstrates environmental concerns while at once underscoring their role in the origin of LIFE. The Flow of Life represents motherhood as the basic link in the chain of life. This mother is rocked by the sea waves, proudly admiring her little child on her lap. Their gazes express a unique and special bond with no need for further explanations in words. Limited edition with 500 units.

This drawing was done for my elective on the Year One Fine Art Degree course at University of Cumbria. It was done during one of our sessions in the life drawing room with our life model Wilf. I begun by covering the page in charcoal, giving the page a base, to knock back the white and so i could work into it. I used a rubber and the charcaol then to bring back the while using these as hightlights, and adding in more tone using the charcoal for depth. The more i look at this piece, the more i being to like it.
