We see reflections everywhere and everyday. Do we pay enough attention to them? Our lives are so cluttered these days do we pay enough attention to “Life’s Reflections” as our days rapidly pass us by. We should slow our days down. What’s so important that we miss the seemingly small things. The beauty we miss might just be enough to give us the peace we believe we deserve. Gratitude and Kindness should keep us smiling daily.

Well, I say life, but on close examination I am unable to see anyone. There are several cars in view and a certain amount of washing hanging from balconies but no people in sight.

Ragusa and its sister town of Ibla date back to the late 17th century and have both been built on hill tops with every conceivable square yard of land utilised. They are part of the Noto Baroque region of UNESCO heritage sites to be found in South Eastern Sicily and are a fabulous location to wonder around. From time to time you even bump into a few residents.

It does look pretty at a first glance but give me my old house with its little patch of lawn and flower beds any time.

I head off for the hills to mountain guide in a moment so will be absent from Flickr for a few days.

Life gets screwed up sometimes, but however it is, it still goes on.

Just don't give up.

One day I would be a better hand at the game. Not by escaping into an imagined simplicity, but by going deeper into the complexities of life. One day I would learn how to laugh (series on 'searching for primeval simplicity', after H. Hesse, Steppenwolf). One daylight LED lamp, edited in Fujifilm's raw converter and in Luminar.
