scanning the YCAM library. this is my first attempt at 3d scanning a very large space, and i haven't correctly accounted for the extrinsics yet -- i just guessed approximately.
i tried accounting for the distortion coefficients, but somehow that introduced more distortion, so i have to fix that too.
this is all part of my research at the YCAM interlab: github.com/YCAMInterlab/ProCamToolkit
3.12.2013: finished in 1928 after the destruction of the library by the Germans in 1914, and then restored again after burning during the Second World War. Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium.
The Stephenson Library on Elswick Road has long since ceased lending books. Today it is a Women and Girls' Resource Centre. Just now it is undergoing a refurbishment. The rather odd notices on the door proclaim it is the Elswick Girls' Centre, and that we should use the back entrance, and that video pictures are being made of it all.
I'm saying nothing.

One of the 5 libraries endowed by Carnegie in the Caribbean. Opened in 1916 and looking on course to celebrate its centenary soon: the library was open and extremely busy when we visited. Its in the centre of town on Library corner - where about 7 roads meet.
Madison, Minnesota's Carnegie Library is located at 6th Avenue & 4th Street.
Not sure on the architect, I've seen it attributed to Frank D. Church or "Architect" Butler.
Library users across the county were disappointed that Gloucestershire County Council administration declined an invitation to a public meeting about the future of the county's libraries. At a packed meeting on 14th December the front row was reserved for senior members of the GCC administration. In their absence their places were taken by potatoes, and in Councillor Mark Hawthorne's case by a tub of duck fat.

The public library is walking distance from our house. When the kids were little, it was a major attraction! I still go every few weeks to load up on books and CDs (yes I still use those in the car, even though they are now out of fashion)
