Instead of olive oil I loaded it with 15W50 and went outside to my Lexus.

One of the mighty 1st generation Volkswagen Golf's, a car that perfected the Hot Hatchback formula and decided the fate of the European car industry.

Possibly one of the cleverest hybrid cars of all time, the Honda Insight was indeed an endearing little electric car with a diesel engine for back up, all wrapped up in a arty little design that seems to resemble the Citroen DS (in some respects).

The first Japanese car to make the established premium car makers sit up and notice and one which was particularly successful in the North American market, though never particularly popular here in the UK where badge snobbery still reigns supreme. The original Lexus LS 400 did appear in 1/64 at the time though it took Matchbox until a few years ago to bring one out in their range.

Proving very popular with many collectors and for good reason even if its cheapo grey plastic lower body did jar some what. Recoloured for this years 2025 Case K in a gloriously classy metallic dark green finish with its usual high levels of on point front and rear tampo detailing though I personally believe they should have used chrome disc wheels which suits the casting better.

Brand new 2024 Case K recolour of the Matchbox 1994 Lexus LS 400 and thankfully a return to a more stock appearance after the peg warming silver version last year. A classy shimmering black combined with a darker grey plastic lower half brings this casting back up to standard and reminds you why it was so popular when first released a few years back.

A decent replica of the Japanese luxury saloon which conquered America crisply cast and beautifully detailed front and rear.
