Built by the Levelers (Freemasons) with 225 rooms, a gym, racquetball court, swimming pool, Turkish bath, solarium, bowling alleys, and other amenities. By 1931, they had to forsake their surroundings, the club closed and the property was foreclosed.
Note on façade: all-seeing-eye, square and compass, hourglass, pillars (Boaz and Yachin) representing the entrance to King Solomon’s Temple.
The foreclosed building re-opened as the Hotel Riverside Plaza in 1936. By the 1940s, it was a kosher hotel. In the 1960s it was a single-room occupancy hotel. In the 1970s it became a drug and rehabilitation center run by Phoenix House. It was converted to a condominium in 1984 called, appropriately, the Level Club.

Elaborately carved, reeded columns with turned top and bottom caps and carved oval appliques enhance the front view of the clock. The multitiered base features a decorative cutout. Removable beveled glass top side panels allow easy access to the movement. The side lower glass is also beveled. Cable-driven, triple chime Kieninger movement offers automatic nighttime chime shut-off option. Finished in Cherry Bordeaux on select hardwoods and veneers. Automatic nighttime chime shut-off option. the highway is the only road north. it's partly paved. evidently the truckers preferred it unpaved: consistently bad but easy to patch with a leveler. the pavement can't really weather the winter and just ends up full of potholes. less dusty, though.

The elegant swan neck pediment of this fine clock features rare bookmatched olive ash burl, a turned finial, and a carved shell overlay. Olive ash burl corner overlays frame the crystal-cut oval glass on the lower door, providing a striking view of the pendulum and weights. The polished-brass dial offers elaborate corner spandrels, a center disk, a silver chapter ring with applied brass Arabic numerals, and an astrological moon phase dial. The polished-brass pendulum includes a center disk that complements the dial and coordinates with the banded, polished-brass weight shells. Elaborately carved, reeded columns with turned top and bottom caps and carved oval appliques enhance the front view of the clock. The multitiered base features a decorative cutout. Laser land leveling at IRRI

Gear: Seestar S50 "smart telescope" with a Cavix LP-64 camera leveler interposed between the Seestar and a tripod.
Processing details:
(a) Noticing an overly soft stacked (within the Seestar app itself) FIT image from a 61 second video, I applied Blur Xterminator in PixInsight. Exported the result as a TIFF to Topaz Labs AI for noise reduction.
(b) Applied Standard DeNoise and High Fidelity in Topaz to produce a denoised image. Exported the result to Lightroom (Lr) Classic.
(c) In Lr Classic, I cropped to a square aspect.
(d) Created a mask. Selected Subject ("powered by AI") and applied a "pop" preset.
(e) Created a second mask and applied the following settings to the subject: Highlights = -10; Color settings: Temperature = 12, Tint = -15; Effects settings: Texture = 15, Clarity = 5, Dehaze = 5. The temperature and tint settings are intended to mitigate some of the color cast issues that I found in the stacked image. Exported the result as a high-quality JPG image.
Remarks vis-Ã -vis a single Seestar JPG image also shown in my album:
Although the Seestar was leveled to 0.1-0.2 overlap thanks to the Cavix camera leveler (0.0 is supposed to be ideal), nevertheless, it appears that stacking even 61 seconds of RAW avi video frames probably requires more advanced prep work for better tracking and thus a structurally better output than I was able to achieve. For this reason, the final stacked result lacks some of the structural details that are present in the JPG image also shown in my album. However, I do recognize that one of dangers in trying to tease out further details is the unintended introduction of undesirable artifacts.

The farmer who rents part of our land didn't take the corn off till just before Christmas last year. It always leaves alot of cobs strewn about and some food for the wildlife. You can see by the slope at the top of the photo how hilly our land is.

We went out as a group of four this time, lacking Flickrless Doug and LaRizzoloCa so we replaced them with Rizzolo and the staple skazama and threshold.

We couldn't get inside the gates at night, it was locked up. So we went to this alternate location on the walkway after some bushwacking.

One of my first pictures shot with my used (but in mint condition) newly acquired Fuji X100S.
Even wide open, this 23mm f2 lens is very sharp. Focusing is a bit of a problem (when strong light in the background), but manual focus is quickly activated and focus assist works really well.
What I like (after a few hours of use) in favour of the X100S:
- best image quality of all the cameras I have: amazing dynamic range, noise limited even at high iso
- both the optical viewfinder and the electronic viewfinder are amazing and useful: the OVF is large and bright (like my Eos 1v), while all info, including a leveler is projected on it... an amazing technical marvel
The EVF is really good (compared to a GH3, it is much much better!).
- the 35mm f2 lens is exactly what I need
- built in ND (3 stops): to shoot wide open in bright daylight
- love the in-camera panorama stitching
- love shooting raw and then, in-camera, make jpegs with various films and corrections (it is like Lightroom in-camera)
- fast and responsive, lag is non-existent
Duct tape was used to keep the floor leveler from getting into the drain, which is still accessible underneath the dry wall.

Tanks, like most other tracked vehicles, do not have a stearing wheel. Instead they have two levelers, each of which control the throttle of the two belts. In my second attempt I manage to switch gears on this old tank but then my eyes started to get filled with dirt that the tank threw up in the air.
