The Level Crossing at Heckington. Not many manually operated crossings left now, and it adds to the effect of the village... a reminder of times when life was a lot less hurried and the days of many branch lines and village stations.
This level crossing deserves listed status, the gates adding to the scene with the windmill in the background.

Van pulled out in front of tractor trailer. Driver of van fled the scene on foot.

The water level route was the mainline of the New York Central railroad which ran from New York City to Chicago with virtually no grades in between. The route is owned by several different railroads today however south of Croton Harmon it retains its original four tracks.
The 2 recording level meters. One is fitted in place on the panel. The cover that retains them carries the illumination bulbs, only the meter(s) in use are illuminated.

An advantage of using a zoom lens is that quite often you can squeak out two very different photos from a single encounter. The previous shot was at 200mm, this one is at 32mm.

Clearly the paving slabs have been replaced and reused from elsewhere since the road was last painted.
Level Up! A Ren Faire Show (on Facebook). This is an interactive stage show that changes. No two shows are alike. They get audience members on stage and they choose where stories go at certain points. (sort of like Dungeons & Dragons, but on a stage-sized scale).
