Saint Cuthbert's Parish Church is situated off Lothian Road in central Edinburgh, well below the level of Princes Street, surrounded by its churchyard. It was throughout the 19th century a fashionable church preferred by the rich burghers of the developing New Town.
The mediaeval St. Cuthbert's, first mentioned in 1127 (possibly a foundation of St. Margaret), was the church of what was once the largest parish outwith but with its boundary as the walls of the old city. After the Scottish Reformation the long nave, with a staged tower in its south flank, became the 'Little Kirk', and the choir was submerged in a mass of additions of which one - the Nisbet of Dean vault of 1692 - survives on the north side.
By 1772 the kirk was dangerous, and in 1773 - 1775 (following a competition) the architect-builder James Weir of Tollcross built a preaching box with two tiers of galleries reached by stairs in the pedimented western projection.
Between 1787 and 1790 the ground to the north was drained for an extension of the burial ground, and in 1789 - 1790 Alexander Stevens built the spire which he probably designed himself. By 1888 the church had become unsafe, and Hippolyte Blanc was appointed as architect to address the situation. He first proposed to recase it, but eventually a rebuild was decided upon, maintaining the general proportions but greatly increasing the size. The result, with a pair of Baroque west towers flanking the domed apse, and is best seen from the lower level of Princes Street Gardens. In 1893 the Kirk Session decided upon 'a general and harmonious scheme of scriptural subjects applying to the [windows] of the whole church' in stained glass, not often seen in Church of Scotland kirks. These were executed, again a departure for Presbyterianism, in early Renaissance tabernacle frames almost all from the same firm, Ballantyne & Gardiner. The notable exception is the David and Goliath window, by Tiffany of New York (after 1900).
The churchyard is impressive containing hundreds of monuments worthy of notice, including one to John Grant of Kilgraston (near Perth), and a three-bay Gothic mausoleum of the Gordons of Cluny by David Bryce. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Cuthbert's_Church

I love getting mail from the RCM especially when I complete a course. I've finished 2 of 8 courses in the Early Childhood Music Education Program.... By the end of the summer I'll be half way finished!

The Tibetan Women’s Advanced Leadership Training organized by the Tibetan Women’s Association (TWA) kick started with a opening ceremony held at the House of Peace and Dialogue, Upper TCV School and was attended by dignitaries from the exile Tibetan Community.
Statistics say the Central Tibetan Administration is comprised of a 46% female and 54% male workforce, but this does not demonstrate the true situation. There is a shocking discrepancy of a low 3% of women at top level positions, in stark contrast to the 97% of males at high level positions. The same picture also fits in many other frames of Tibetan exile Diaspora.
The Tibetan Women’s Advanced Leadership Training (June 7 to June 17), an undertaking of the Tibetan Women’s Association, seeks to not only address this issue, but to tackle it by enabling women’s representation in the higher realms of representation and ranks of governance. Thirty professional and high potential Tibetan women leaders from all over India participated in this 11-day training, which is the first of its kind. Additionally, this training accentuated the implementation of the Kashag’s eight point policy on women’s empowerment launched in October 2010. It also provided a niche platform and a creative forum for potential women leaders to identity and hone their leadership skills.

you got your snow level, rock tipped moraine level, crevassed glacier level, and finally the cloudy powder blue sky level.
Used good condition Model 26 Shakespeare "Classic" Level Winding No. 1972 casting reel. It was old when I got it in the early 1970's and so this reel has been in storage and not used for fishing in at least 40 years. It is in great condition and operates smoothly and cleanly. I believe this reel dates from earlier than 1929 because it has no 2-letter date code. The green handle knobs are in great condition and really nice looking on this piece. Has the "Made in Kalamazoo, USA, Shakespeare, Honor Built, Honor Solid" logo with jumping fish engraved on handle side plate.

Day 3 - Mystery Event Level 2. The Level 2 Mystery Event of the 2014 USARPAC Warrior Challenge featured was held at the Medical Simulation Training Center. Events included evaluating a casualty, performing first aid to an extremity, performing first aid in an open abdominal wound and a 9-line MEDEVAC request. The event included an outdoor trauma lane as well as an indoor blood trauma lane. Competitors had to perform tactical medical care in an outdoor environment, as well as treating casualties in an indoor environment with combat sound effects, thus creating a stressful environment.
