Somes images are from Catherine Dixon & Phil Baines overcrowded lettering walk.
These are ideas for a logo based around musical symbols. A challenge was to incorporate the treble clef into the lettering in a legible way, resulting in the backwards version of the symbol for use as the letter 's'.

from M Parker's library: "look at the rich blacks!" esteemed as the most gorgeously printed book ever (poorly photographed here), from post war Germany. Zapf did all lettering. i've forgotten the punch cutter's name. bad form.
