Today's court was fascinating (I was there on a fictitious charge). Court consisted almost entirely of disabled individuals, minorities and seniors. Apparently they're the easiest to catch and the police/sheriff's officers don't have to run/drive too far to snag one. It is indeed sad that municipalities prey on these individuals in order to justify their own existence. It was interesting to watch the two individuals in the forefront (my guess is they are husband and wife) as they were touchy-feely and there was definitely a courtroom courship in play - they were all over each other. She kept primping her hair while he was rubbing her forearm & playing footsies. it was a hoot as neither realized we all realized what a farce this courtroom was. They appeared to be attorneys. They did not appear to notice that many individuals in the courtroom were filming/photographing them.
The flourescent lighting in this courtroom gave me a massive headache (metal in my brain, remember?).

Juan was holding this sign up in front of Burger King. He had a lady named Maria behind him with three little toddlers. It was a nice day for them to sit under this tree and I saw someone had dropped off a few cases of water for them. The kids and Maria appeared healthy.
I had just gotten Pancake a $1 cheeseburger from Burger King, and advised Juan all I had to give them was the roll (aka bun) since Pancake already ate the burger - he accepted the roll (aka bun).
I asked him if they had been in touch with the Homeless Coalition here in Louisville, and he said he did not understand what I was asking. Juan requested his face not be in the photo.
Juan said he'd lost his job.

This is what the floor looked like upon entering - this is not the ER - this is a treatment room. There were sharps, needles, syringes, wrappers, trash left on the floor from the prior patient as well as fresh blood on existing sheets and blankets. DO NOT subject yourselves to this hospital - go out of state. Kentucky is not the place for quality, safe & competent medical care. The fire alarms sounded while there and not one staff member asked knew what their fire safety procedures were.

About the Fusion Center
In an effort to better secure the commonwealth against criminal activity and domestic and international terrorism, federal and state agencies have banded together to create the Kentucky Intelligence Fusion Center to improve intelligence sharing among public-safety and public-service agencies.
The center has been heralded as a milestone in achieving a unified hub to coordinate and connect all levels of law enforcement and public- safety agencies, including fire, health and transportation, and the private sector. A new telephone hotline, 1-866-EYE-ON-KY (1-866-393-6659), is available for residents to report suspicious or criminal activity of any kind.
The principle role of the KIFC is to compile, blend, analyze, and disseminate criminal intelligence and other information (including, but not limited to, threat assessment, public safety, law enforcement, public health, social service and public works) and to support efforts to anticipate, identify, prevent and monitor criminal activity.
The ultimate goal is to provide a mechanism where law enforcement, public safety, and the private sector can come together with a common purpose to improve the ability to safeguard our homeland and prevent criminal activity.
The KIFC is currently a collaboration of the following agencies:
