Rainforests of Bengkulu province are also home to the world's tallest flower and possibly the smelliest flower Titan Arum (Amorphophallus titanum), known locally as Kibut or also known as bunga Bangkai.

The flower is a rich red, with a huge yellow stamen protruding from its core, when it throws up a spectacular flower spike than can stand over 2 m (6.5 feet) high. Titan Arum / Kibut creates such a stink because when the flower is fully open, it gets hot and emits a repulsive scent that is attractive to its pollinators. It only lasts about 3 days before collapsing. Read more at my blog virtualadrian.blogspot.com/2013/03/kibut-worlds-tallest-f...

Kepahiang is a cool relaxed district. The Bukit Barisan mountain range is Kepahiang’s backbone which runs most of the length of Kepahiang territory. Many of tourist attractions in Kepahiang are off the beaten track, but while they will take some extra time to get to, they are well worth searching out.

A tribute to the fabulous Golden Dawn Diners in Hamilton & Burlington, New Jersey, USA. Unsure what it takes to get a decent diner here in Kentucky but in spite of the many requests, enticements and pleadings to the owners of many of these NJ diners, none have accepted the challenge to establish a decent running 24/7 diner here in Louisville. Perhaps it's the climate they're unable to tolerate - not sure.

Can't find her stick again. Long Run Park, Louisville

At Cherokee Park, Beargrass Creek, Louisville, KY

Interestingly enough, while I pulled over & put on my 4-way flashers to capture this shot a black Range Rover pulled up behind me (I was only able to see 2 occupants) and laid on their horn (although there were no other vehicles in sight and there was plenty of room for them to drive around me. They then shouted obscenities and then took out their cell phones apparently attempting to capture what they felt was a crime. FWIW, this Range Rover had expired temporary tags and full tinted windows front & back. I simply stood in front of my vehicle to capture what I thought would be a good shot and did attempt to wave them around. At some point, they slammed the Range Rover into reverse then peeled wheels skidding around my vehicle while throwing a beer can at my car. They missed.
