I went to the open gardens day at Stody Lodge in Norfolk for the first time. I wasn’t expecting too much, after all a rhododendron is a rhododendron is a rhododendron. However, I found myself in photographic heaven as perfect light transformed the place into a kaleidoscope of glowing colour. I’ll never forget that day.
Lightsticks for Smile on Saturday, theme Glowing

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
On a gloomy Melbourne day, this shard of aqua glass glows in the glare of the filtered sunlight.
When I showed this photo to my nephew, he said I should call it "cube-aquatic". So I did. There are cubes of glass which make up the whole tower, and it looks like water. Logical.
It may not be immediately obvious, but the large building to the left is also almost entirely glass, and reflects the building across the road as well as the sky.
This is an in-camera multiple-exposure, something I enjoy immensely but often forget in my rush of enthusiasm to shake and bake an ICM.
This year I tried growing some succulents in small pots in the back garden. Brought them inside for the winter and they now live in the kitchen window. This is one of them this morning, glowing in the morning sun. You can really see the glowing leaves when you zoom in. :-)
Taken for Happy Smile on Saturday theme = let it glow.
Some experiment with lighting I did a few months ago on a donut with colourful blue icing (my favourite colour - couldn't resist !!) 😄
No donut was harmed during this experiment (but maybe later ; ))

Eigentlich wollte ich heute Abend noch etwas Musik hören und entspannen und hab dazu die Lichtanlage eingeschaltet. Mit entspannen wurde es nichts, als ich die Reflexion im Graswedel sah...

A Wise Old Owl
A wise old owl sat in an oak,
The more he heard, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard;
Why aren't we all like that wise old bird?
“A Wise Old Owl” is a nursery rhyme original from the USA. We are not sure of its exact origins but most probably it dates back to the 19th century. It was first mentioned by John D. Rockefeller at the beginning of the 20th century. The owl in this nursery rhyme is believed to be a symbol of wisdom. ( Smiles for Saturday - theme: Let it glow )
