Saturday August 31, is "LET IT FLOW!"
For that challenge, I would like you to take a picture of 'a fluid' and more specifically 'a liquid'.
DEFINITIONS:
Fluid: a substance that flows and is not solid (liquid, gas, plasma).
Liquid: a substance that flows freely but is of constant volume, having a consistency like that of water or oil.
Looking close...on Friday: Let it flow
Photo taken in the kitchen sink. I put a white plate on the bottom to lighten the background a bit (sink is stainless steel), and then opened the tap just a little so water would flow into and splash out of the spoon.

Looking Close... on Friday: Let It Flow!
Last Monday, I was having a delicious chocolate ice cream in a nice seaside café, and asked for water. Instead of bringing me just a glass, the waiter brought a full bottle as well, so of course I seized the opportunity to make experiments. I chose this particular picture first because I like it, but also because it's funny. I got carried away and forgot to check that the water was still flowing into the glass, which caused a flooding of the table. Fortunately, I was at the terrace and it was a hot day, so the disaster quickly dried.
Looking Close... on Friday: Let it flow
The Lake, Hazelbrook
I wanted to get photos at some of our waterfalls; I played around with lots of different speeds; it was a lot of fun; I hope this is close enough.
Excerpt from the brochure:
32 Let It Flow by Reihan Ebrahimi
“Let It Flow” reflects on rigid structures dissolving into eruptions of free-flowing energy. By exploring the contradictory qualities of ceramics, it combines aspects of control and release, self and society, liberation and revolution, strict boundaries, and an anxious longing for an undefined, unshaped future.
I should say that I don't just use a syringe full of milk , do one drop and get the shot. I took about fifty. Five were good, this was my favourite.
Long time on my ToDo list: The strawberry splash ...
A strawberry approaching a strawberry kefir liquid :-)
Happy SoS!
The fountain was built to celebrate the twinning of Timisoara (considered the most multicultural city in Romania) and Karlsruhe.
It's a cube with 4 faces covered with first names. You will notice there not only romanian names, but also german, serbian and hungarian names. On each of these faces there is water streaming representing life.
Timisoara was designated to be one of the European Capital of Culture in 2021.
The theme for this week for Looking Close....on Friday was 'Let if flow" I chose Maple Syrup on Ice cream.....it was yummy
We have this little fountain in our little pond.

Water in SLOW motion~
“A drop of water, if it could write out its own history, would explain the universe to us.” – Lucy Larcom
I found this water flow at the splash park. It was not hot enough and much too early in the morning to have children there but I press the button anyway. Captured this flow of drops.
Good lord this is hard to do with one hand on the camera pho@e and one hand on the Dijon mustard bottle. Am afraid this will have to do unless I purchase a third hand gizmo. #LookingCloseonFriday
Btw I liked the confetti flowing in wand much better.
Water running from cold tap.
