Aqua and Tan duct tape and colored sharpies - it's VERY clear I need more confidence in my own hand. I've never liked my own hand writing ...hopefully (through this class) it will grow on me!

I'd like to pass on a lesson I learned the hard way recently. If you own Fuji lenses, or in fact any other brand with white writing around the face of the lens (e.g. Olympus) then beware. As you can see from this photo, under certain light conditions the writing is reflected back off the graduated ND filters. It seems to only happen when bright light is hitting the front of the lens at about 45 degrees.
My answer has been to use a black permanent marker to overwrite the lettering. This can always be removed later with methylated spirits if you want to sell the lens.
