It should be obvious what this image is, inspired by this week's Macro Mondays theme of "Minimalism" - see the image a few steps from this one for a low-key treatment of the same.
As always, thanks for your views, comments and faves!
March 11th will mark the fourth year since the east coast of Japan was devastated by a huge tsunami. Unsurprisingly, given the scale of the disaster, the people of the Tohoku region are still rebuilding.
I had the privilege of being invited to ride in Tohoku as part of an annual memorial since the first Rapha Continental ride in 2012. The document of this journey is now on the Rapha website in both English and Japanese.
New job, new home, worn out mind, exhausted body... and winter is coming.
But inspiration will come back. Eventually.
When you live in a chalet, it's like living in a glass house--all those large windows. This is the mirror image of the left upper triangle, both of which sit above two rectangular windows. With all that glass in a rural setting, the birds will inevitably fly into the windows. Since we put resin birds of prey on the window sills, we've had no casualties. *I really like #minimalism shots in games and real life photography where the focus is one small key element and the rest of the composition is completely clutter free. You'll be surprised at how powerful these shots can be.

The birds are real and were on a roof top, I created this picture from the image I captured.

12/52 for Project 52 - Looking down
Having picked these daisies for yesterday's photo, I put them in water so they wouldn't die. As most of you know, I do like to get the most out of my props so I thought I would use them again today....who knows, they may even make more appearances yet. I am nothing if not consistent...high key, still life...
Upon our last visit with my wife's grandmother, I couldn't resist trying to capture the essence of her beautifully expressive hand gestures.
