Test Pattern is a system that converts any type of data (text, sounds, photos and movies) into barcode patterns and binary patterns of 0s and 1s. Through its application, this project aims to examine the relationship between critical points of device performance and the threshold of human perception. From large-scale installations to live performances, the Test Pattern project has been derived from many different types of application since 2008, including a Compact Disc version and the more notable series of site-specific installations. This is the first publication related to the project.

Still & Alone
This was taken on a very rainy day in Newport Coast. Love days like this because you have the whole stretch of beach all alone (4 miles of nothing but me). the life guards (why they were there I don't know) were looking at me like a nutcase :)
Thought this minimalist feel went with the mood for the day.

We almost didn't see anything on our way to the top, which was kind of cool, never knowing when we would reach the top. On our way down it cleared up, revealing great scenery in all directions.

I received a large Poinsettia plant and have been fascinated by the large veins in the leaves. As they unfold they're often various colors before they turn green. I just wanted to make this one more dramatic so I used Silver Effects to do it.
The challenge ( Beyond Layers, Kim Klassen) for week one :
A symplistic composition,
Less is more,
Go light with the texture .
texture kk_awaken by Kim Klassen,
set at normal, 45%
i set my backgroundcopy layer to screen .
1/13 sec ; f/3.5 ; iso 200 ; on tripod ; 50mm lens 1.8
The bottle is on a black surface and the wall is very light orange like colour, setting that layer to screen made the colours this way and of course the texture helped too !

This must be one of the most meditative locations that I have ever photographed. We visited for sunset and sunrise. The latter was so peaceful and we had such calm conditions that it was a truly beautiful experience.
In fact, the sun rose silently behind a cloud and was not visible until it emerged out of the cloud and cast a huge reflection on the silent calm water. It was a quite a moment.
