Macro Monday's theme is "Less is more"
The less water we have the more chance we have of destroying our planet, ourselves and every living thing upon it. It is more precious than practically anything else.
This is also an image with minimal subject matter but with what I hope is maximum impact.

A far-flung outpost of the UK, Sanna is close to the westernmost point (Ardnamurchan, not Lands End).
If you make it this far, you will have driven through a life size geological textbook, in the form of the Ardnamurchan Volcano.
Sometimes simplicity turns into the greatest things. We just need to get rid of the excess to focus on what is important.
In this week's Flickr Friday we invite you to take your best shot for the theme #LessIsMore. We will feature our favorite photos from submissions you share in the Flickr Friday group pool in the Flickr Blog next week.

Shirahige Shrine Torii, Shiga, Japan 2023.
This must be one of the most meditative locations that I have ever photographed. We visited for sunset and sunrise. The latter was so peaceful and we had such calm conditions that it was a truly beautiful experience.
In fact, the sun rose silently behind a cloud and was not visible until it emerged out of the cloud and cast a huge reflection on the silent calm water. It was a quite a moment.
