For Macro Mondays theme - High Key
I was very excited to find this weeks theme was high key but couldn't decide what to photograph. Then I saw this rosebud was opening and crying out to be photographed. It's called a whiter shade of pale (which would have been a good title if I hadn't used it before). Unfortunately the plant hasn't done very well this year and we have had very few blooms which is a shame as not only does it look beautiful but it has a delightful fragrance too.
I placed the rose on acetate to add a reflection but it looks a bit more like a shadow. HMM
69/100: 100 x challenge - Flowers
100 Flowers 2020
I'm working on the assumption that a dead flower is still a flower and therefore acceptable in the flower challenges. This is the gladioli from my flowers from a couple of weeks ago.
I love shooting daytime long exposures and b&w minimalism of piers and pegs are some of my favorite subjects to play with :) I smoothed out bit more on the tone and black to reduce some sharpness on the wooden pegs.

For Macro Monday - Contained
These tiny bottles from my craft stash, are always good for a macro shot. The two bottles at the back are filled with things I used for previous photos...a star and some dandelion seeds, I wrote dreams on some little strips of paper to put in the front bottle...and one to follow.
I'm a bit late to the party, I took the pic earlier but didn't have time to post it before now. HMM
remembering spring
when we came alive . . .
having slept through winter
we all finally arrived
warm sunshine
a little spring rain . . .
then through the summer
and then autumn . . .
now winter has arrived
we look around . . .
with a feeling of content
beautiful moments
of Nature's intent !

as evening returns
at the end of the day . . .
autumn leaves remain
before they slip and fall away
the tree awaits . . .
for once they have gone
it will be time for the tree
to sing it's winter's song !
