I was elated by the Light in this interior!! I was uplifted by its Energy!! I was captivated by its magnificent Art! I was inspired by the respect and serenity reigning in there! For me it was a Temple! Although there was a beautiful restaurant on my left, with crystal white tablecloths, and gentle looking waiters.. Although close to me some people were selling silently their products….And from an old-times black picturesque car, food was sold… Therefore, a market place, not a Temple…
BUT. Right in the middle of this huge hall, close to the artful colons, lit by the magical light coming through, a white …piano was placed(!!) saying on its front: PLAY ME ! I’M YOURS!!
Mesmerized by all this, I took my camera , and started taking pictures, WHEN, RIGHT at THAT moment, a sweet classical piano music uplifted me to the seventh sky!! A young pianist had sat in front of the piano, and started playing Chopin!!!!
Would you ever believe that this divine edifice was once used to serve as a Bourse place????Money place??? Materially tasked functioning place??For me it looked and sensed, UN-imaginable!!! But, yes, it is found in the beautiful city of Anvers/Antwerp, in the Northern Belgium/Flanders !
Please, read:
“Handelsbeurs , the Bourse, is the first building in Brabant's late Gothic style , that dates from 1531, after a design by Domien de Waghemakere. A rectangular open space was enclosed by a colonnade covered with star and net vaults. The gallery concept of this building served as a model for London's Royal Exchange (designed by Hendrik van Paesschen), as well as for Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Lille. The high-rise 'pagoda towers' with octagonal and cylindrical hull may have served as a lookout for the harbor. Every nation had a more or less permanent location at the exchange.
After a fire in 1583, the Handelsbeurs/ Bourse was immediately rebuilt to the same plan. The Siege of Antwerp (1584-1585) and the surrender to the 'Spanish' Army of Flanders led to a decline in trade, with Antwerp unable to compete with Amsterdam. Between 1661 and 1810 the building was used, among other things, as a Drawing Academy and seat of the Guild of Saint Luke. The open interior space was domed in 1853 by Charles Marcellis, following the example of London's Crystal Palace.
After a second fire in 1858 had once again destroyed the building, the Antwerp city authorities twice organized a design competition in which the old concept had to be preserved. The current building was finally completed in 1872 by architect Joseph Schadde. It is a remarkable combination of the neo-gothic style and revolutionary techniques, in particular the metal construction for the covering of the interior. The building housed the Antwerp Stock Exchange (a true stock exchange) from 1872 until its 1997 merger with the Brussels Stock Exchange
With the closure of the Antwerp Stock Exchange in 1997, the building lost its function and was abandoned and neglected After a long and intensive renovation, it was to have reopened in October 2019 as an event hall with restaurant, hotel and public passage. ” (: Adapted from Wikipedia)
The last image after an unexpectedly late visit of Mt. Hochsalwand. It took me much longer to get up there with all the snow and also less fitness than hoped for. The return to Lechneralm, where I had locked my e-bike was quite dark (I did have a headlamp). This was exposed 30 seconds. I really like how the remnants of snow lead up to the two peaks Lechnerkopf (1547m above average sea level, to the right) and Hochsalwand (1625m).
Classic scale comparison :P
Why yes, this IS the definition of Armored Artillery.
One of my favourited vehicles of World War 2, The 'Carrier, Personnel Half-track M3' was produced by White Motor Company approximately 43000 times. This specific model however, models a 105 mm M1A2 Howitzer and armored plating.
Version four, If I recall correctly. My goal was to shorten it and make it less wide then the last model, but at the same time make it look good. I think I've succeeded. The front seat should fit two people, but I'm not sure if the height is up to par. Rolling tracks, opening doors and the front and back as well as a working winch and a removable Howitzer :P
Inspiration from RRR and Dunechaser. Includes two Monopods and 4 U-clips. Enjoy!
On its second day in service, Nottingham City Transport Scania N280UD / Enviro 400 City 426 - YP17 UFJ is captured in West Bridgford working route 6 to City. These super environmentally friendly bio-gas buses will reduce Co2 emissions by up to 84% compared to an equivalent brand new diesel double deck bus.

Starting to feel a little more at ease with my 5d2...
My 'new' attitude on landscape photography isn't really easy to master: it's sometimes frustrating wait for something that never arrives!
I know that these initial difficult moments will become less and less important as soon as I will be rewarded by some incredible scenes.
I am tracking a few good spots for my Spain Holiday, I finally booked everything, now I only have to wait these nine last days!!!
Fortunately, all my purchases arrived today: after almost a month and a half with something on its way home, it's a pretty strange feeling.
Tomorrow I will be getting up really early again: hope this time things will work out better!!!
I'm not completely satisfied with this one: I find that those dark trees in the middle portion of composition just lock the eye. It was the best I could do,
so I'll go with it.

Shot a few minutes after sunset.
The Processing
Photoshop:
- Switched to LAB to pull out some colors and improve contrast (just a little);
- Added a few overlay layers to equalize light as I wanted;
- Cloned away two dust spots (Patch tool and healing brush);
- Used a Color Balance layer to get better tones;
- Resized;
- Improved the contrast with an Unsharp Mask tune;
- Sharpening (Smart Sharpen + more accurate);
- Framing and signature.
Take a look at it, LARGE on Black :

EU07-195 in an old livery, with a container train, is about to pass the Czarlin passenger stop, and then heads towards the Tczew freight bypass at the Górki junction. March 7, 2020.
The mileage plate visible on the left side is quite unique - because the train reaches the end of the longest railway line in Poland (number 131 Chorzów Batory - Tczew), such high mileage values cannot be seen anywhere else in the country.
And one more fact - the EU07 series is slowly disappearing from PKP Cargo's inventory. This locomotive from this photo is no longer operating, it was put aside after coming to mileage limit to a major overhaul. Of the non-modernized EU07 locomotives, only three are currently running and each has a heritage livery. Only modernized EU07, numbered upwards from 1501 have standard PKP Cargo livery.

I jeszcze jedna ciekawostka - seria EU07 powoli nam znika z rozporządzalnego inwentarza PKP Cargo.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas holiday, and if you decide to spend a few hours of your life watching the new Hobbit movie, don't bother, unless you enjoy long (slow motion) battle scenes, the worst acting on Middle Earth, and sappy (slow motion) dwarf deaths accompanied by (slow motion) grieving and crying at the end. Spoiler, all non-dwarf main characters survive..... except Smaug the dragon :-(. I wanted to BE that dragon and set fire to all the coiffed elven hair.
Here on Holiday where the weather is less than ideal for going out. Judy wanted to see how I do my make-up so what better time to give it a go.
Blend everything with a powder brush. Here I have used a small amount of contouring on the jaw line, side of the nose and forehead. The fact that you can't really see it indicates I have pretty well got the level right.
Lips? Well that depends on the look required and what adventures are planned for the day. Here I am using a liquid lip colour that is like paint. It dries and stays on all day, and is intact often difficult to get off! As I was using a dark colour I did not need to use a pencil liner first. I would use a liner if I was going for a lighter or maybe nude colour.
If you use a standard lip stick you can set it with powder then apply a second coat and it will stay on much longer.
These guys were hanging around a local industrial park in a flooded field! A really nice find in an area where I would not have expected such a good find and photo opportunity!
After a multi-year expansion of company formation and in biopharma valuations, 2018 was a year of heightened market volatility. Investors’ eagerness to support new modalities enabled more than 50 biotech IPOs, but with much less mature clinical development progress than traditionally demonstrated. More than half those companies are trading below their IPO prices, however, complicating conditions for the next new offering. As interest rate worries, international trade disputes, and regulatory reimbursement uncertainty have increased, biopharma stock indexes have seen significant corrections. With historically high valuations experiencing sudden dips, M&A deal-making seems to have reignited with notable, multi-billion dollar deals in recent weeks. This session will assemble market experts to discuss what forces continue to shape performance within the sector and what opportunities the market correction can reveal for investors and companies seeking resources to deliver the next wave of innovative therapies for patients.

Glenbrook Gorge is another of Sydney‘s less-known natural wonders, a deep crack in the Blue Mountains containing a series a shallow, still pools and rocky shelves guarded by dry eucalyptus forest and ferns. It’s a quiet, colourful place, the golden walls of the gorge contrasting with the blue waters of Glenbrook Creek. It’s filled with huge boulders, and is one of those walks that occasionally causes you to retrace your steps, as you attempt to find a way around one obstruction or another.

Until recently, Nordegg has been a relatively well kept secret. You'll soon agree that Nordegg is conveniently located on Highway #11, known out here, as “The “Road Less Traveled.”
Nordegg is 100 Km east of the Saskatchewan Crossing, near the famous Columbia Icefields. The Saskatchewan Crossing lies about half way between the towns of Banff and Jasper.
