I came across this magnificent toadstool yesterday. When talking to Judy I commented that I was suprised there wasn't a Leprachaun sitting on it, Judy's response was "John was too busy helping with the Sunday lunches at the Britannia to be able to be there". After that, it just had to be done! Sorry John, don't bar me!
This illustration was devised as part of a series of greeting cards. My symbol series consist of a character iconic with the particular holiday and a traditional symbol relating to the character and holiday residing in the background.
The Irish theme of a leprachaun protecting his pot of gold and the four leaf clover are synonymous with St. Patrick's Day and thus became the imagery for my St. Patrick's Day Card.
