Karina is looking through Sante D'Orazio's great book of photographs titled A PRIVATE VIEW. (By following my stats, I noticed that this photo was reblogged by a blog on Tumblr--not my own, obviously); it's too bad that there was no way for the viewer to click back to my Flickr site, nor any credit given to me as the photographer. When I place someone's photo on my blog, I give as much credit as possible.)

Leopard Print Dress and Heels 01

I made this cake for a friend who lives overseas and is going back home on Sunday. Her and her hubby have been admiring my cakes from o'seas for a while, and I just wanted them to get a taste of one before they went back.

So i made them this. I had intended on painting a leopard pattern on the beauty case but then the color and fondant turned out so nice, that I thought i would just leave it.

When i put the case on top of the suitcase i ripped the icing on the side of the case with my fingers. DOH!!!

So it had to have the print on it to cover up the mess. Fine. I did the brown part, and that was fine, then did the black. DISASTER!!!!

STUPID STUPID me picked up a candy color instead of one of my other colors. Before knew it, the stuff has dripped on the sides and made a mess.

I thought that I could rip off the icing and start again, however at midnight and having to go to work the next day, plus having no choc for more ganache, i deicided to leave it and work it out in the morning. I posted a cry for help in the morning in a couple of forums, and got some wonderful ideas.

My best friend offered to come over and help me spray the whole thing with the airbrush.

In the end I decided to just leave it. My friend and her family loved it. She collects antique suitcases so it was very fitting.

So it has a few drips (LOTS OF DRIPS) such is life!!!

Certainly not my best work, but the recipient was happy and at the end of the day, it's not perfection that matters :D

Oreo and Scooter loved this bed when we first got it, now they don't like it, now they'll never like it.

The red leopard print is kinda masculine and reminds me of '80's glam rock bands.

A photo taken of me today on our lunch break walk at work. I thought I'd wear my leopard print lycra minidress today as we had a group of male visitors coming in for meetings so wanted to impress lol! Although I think it was too hot for walking at lunchtime, we didn't even finish our usual walk as it was too hot! 💕x

The suit is a VERY form-fitting one-piece that's almost see-through, but the leopard print masks anything underneath. The accessories are the little belled collar (made of the same material) and the ears. The collar is a nice little addition, but it's a bit of a pain arranging it to follow the model's chin. The ears are pretty useless, though -- the headband is too loose and doesn't fit to the head the way some other bunny or cat ears do in some of my other sets.

What do you think?

Closer look at the back of the outfit. You can make it work on this body, but I expect it will look better on something bigger.
